Multifaceted Hong Kong collective Yeti takes over 宀 Club on Friday 31st July for their first ever party at the club. They are bringing a full crew for the occasion, with Subez and Arthur from Yeti, Yao from Eaton and Yong Ying. Music collective-turned-apparel imprint Yeti Out bridges east and west with its series of pop-up raves and record releases. The euphoria of late nights and early mornings are transformed into graphic-heavy apparel, artwork, and audio tapes akin to the crew’s resident sets on NTS radio, while it’s label Silk Road Sounds is a reflection of youth movements that shape creative culture in cities that never sleep.Launched during the height of Hypemachine’s digital frenzy era, YETI OUT was founded by Erisen Ali and brothers Arthur and Tom Bray In 2013, Yeti Out moved back to Asia to bridge the Orient with sonic influences gathered through promoting parties in the UK. Now headquartered in Hong Kong, Shanghai via London, Yeti continues to bridge East and West via the introduction of new acts from the US and EU to China and Southeast Asia, while also debuting Asian talent in London and Europe. Yeti Crew, an ever-expanding cohort of 8 - 10 selectors include key members such as Subez Yeti, Fergus Heathcote, Allan Marshall, and others, all of who head subsidiary club series: Mean Gurlz Club, South Canton Soul Train and Yeti Dis:ko alike. Yeti raves blur the line between garage, house, sino grime, Jungle and Dubstep.. With residencies on Hong Kong Community Radio to London's NTS Radio, and monthly showcases at BEAM Bangkok, OIL Shenzhen to Arkham Shanghai, YETI OUT shows no signs of slowing down, and continues to fill the calendar with headlining shows at Sonar to Low End Theory, playing alongside, Flying Lotus, Harvey Sutherland, Nosaj Thing, Aphex Twin to name a few.YETI OUT recently launched its compilation series-cum-record label; Silk Road Sounds, with Vol.1 highlighting experimental producers they’ve met through the club circuit. As creative tribes from the East and West continue to intertwine both online and offline, the label reflects a sonic exchange of cultures, paying homage to local regions through innovative sampling.Yeti & Friends w/ Arthur Yeti, Subez, Yao & Yong Ying Style: House, Techno, Ghetto, Hip-Hop, Bass _________________________ARTHUR YETIHaving honed his craft throwing parties and DJ'ing in East London as part of the YETI OUT collective he founded, Arthur Yeti's energetic sets blur the line between house, ghetto tech and bass, alongside new-found rhythms from his label Silk Road Sounds. In 2007, Solos released Yao’s debut work Plantain is Public (a debut rooted in hip- hop and electronic music) to rave reviews globally. After its release, he travelled (West Africa, UK & South America), gaining more life experience ( a vital ingredient for his art) & inspiration as well as meeting like- minded artists. After some time further honing his craft working on edits, bootlegs and unique remixes of the likes of artists as disparate as Animal Collective, Ludacris, labelmate Bookworms and (NY based band) Lemonade, he released an EP entitled Coconut Dreams to close out 2015.The work is a conceptual collection of sound- pieces based on life and love in Hong Kong. The (mostly instrumental) 5- song project drew inspiration from jazz, footwork, and bass with one foot firmly planted in hip hop.As a DJ, you’ll find him play- ing everything from hip hop, dancehall, 60‘/70’s soul & inter- national rarities to house and bass music. Having shared the stage and billings with the likes of Benji B, De La Soul, J-Rocc, Diplo, Tyga, Shabazz Palaces, Kode 9, Roska, Samiyam and Teebs (to name a few), this young man is always ready to rock the party. • Arthur Yeti

Arthur Bray is one of the Hong Kong/Shanghai/London-based collective Yeti Out, the 30-year-old has worn plenty of hats – model, DJ, editor… the list goes on. This flexibility is something he’s emphasised for Yeti Out, which started as a party-promoting music collective that has now branched out into everything from art shows, a record label and a creative agency. And of course, more parties. Well-known DJs on the Hong Kong and Shanghai party circuit, Arthur and his twin brother Tom are pushing the envelope for underground music in Asia. They’re helping genres such as grime, garage, Afrobeat, bass music, house and techno gain momentum in a city that’s probably better known for its EDM or pop-filled nightclubs than anything else. Right now, they’re setting their sights on local events such as Sonar and Art Basel in March, while concurrently working on an audiovisual set for their record label, Silk Road Sounds.
