̸BIOGRAPHY
Drum&Bass producers, performers and event promoters. Responsible for bass-music lineups at Audioriver Festival.
NeverAfter was created by the production duo CLS & Wax and turntable expert K-Size. With its inception in 2000, the trio has been focused on popularizing drum'n'bass genre, which they lace with heavy Jungle, Garage, Progressive House or Dubstep elements. The group has helped shape Krakow's club scene by bringing in the top artists and exploring upscale venues with better soundsystems, that can handle bigger crowds. Besides that, they're co-creators of the BassTheory event series in Warsaw, which was nominated for 2007's Night Brands Awards.
The music of CLS & Wax has made them recognizable beyond their country's borders. Their debut was on the British label Hospital in 2003, and they played at their 10th anniversary celebration at the Heaven club in London in 2006. Since their debut on "Weapons Of Mass Creation" with the track "Why Don't You," they've been constantly making new sounds, and they've been featured on BBC Radio and in mixes by artists like LTJ Bukem, High Contrast, London Elektricity, and Artificial Intelligence. Meanwhile, K-Size, fascinated by the technical aspects of performance, adds scratching and other tricks to the trio's sets, as well as being the driving force behind events production.
Using many sound sources and additional outboard equipment the group creates and remixes their own original tracks by combining production experience and turntablism showcases. They developed this performance formula to express their DJ and production skills and debunk the myth that DJs are just jukeboxes.
Neverafter's track record of organizing successful events led to an invitation to co-create the lineup for Audioriver, a new electronic music festival. Since the first edition in 2006, Wax and K-Size have been behind all the bass-music acts that have played there. Today, Audioriver is regarded as one of the most important events in central Europe. It brings together some of the best and most exciting artists from the electronic music scene and draws tens of thousands of fans.
