Adam Beyer is a Swedish techno producer and DJ. Generally billed just by her first name, Rebekah Teasdale is a DJ and producer from Birmingham, England who has been active since the mid-'90s. Like most figures of the Birmingham techno scene, her tracks are often hard, dark, and minimalist, with heavy pounding beats and gradual suspenseful development. An avid clubgoer since her youth, she began spinning records in 1996, at the age of 16. She spent several years as a model in order to provide financial support for her DJ career. She released an edit of the Mighty Dub Katz's house anthem "It's Just Another Groove" in 2004, but her first original productions, starting with 2007's "Toad in a Hole," were minimal tech-house. By the early 2010s, her sound had gotten darker and heavier, and she eventually caught the attention of Chris Liebing, who released Rebekah's Cycles EP on his CLR label in 2013. ~ AllMusic

As one of the most heavily supported and best-sold techno producers of the moment, notorious for his powerful live performances at renowned festivals and clubs, Reinier Zonneveld is currently taking over the contemporary scene with his unique view on techno. Richie Hawtin played an essential role in developing the sound of minimal techno, as well as spreading its popularity throughout the global club scene. Most famous for his experimental acid techno productions as Plastikman, including the classic albums Musik (1994) and Consumed (1998), he is equally well-regarded for his groundbreaking live sets and mix CDs (especially 1999's Decks, EFX & 909) which utilize cutting-edge DJ technology, fusing loops of techno records with additional synthesizers and drum machines. Initially based in Windsor, Ontario and connected with the techno scene in nearby Detroit, he co-founded the highly influential Plus 8 (and its harder sublabel Probe Records) along with John Acquaviva, later establishing Minus and relocating to Berlin during the early 2000s, just as minimal techno began receiving mainstream exposure. After getting to know each other in Zürich in 2008, Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer became inseparable, not just as friends, but also as artists. The two men carved out a career as one of the most consistently delivering DJ/producer duos in the house and techno scene: Adriatique. The key to an enduring partnership is, of course, to complement each other, and the two Adrians do so admirably. Music-wise, their various tastes combine into one unique sound, and their respective preference for studio work and performance means that both aspects are equally well covered. Adriatique’s DJ performances as well as their productions are long, meditative, relentlessly building affairs, ever challenging the listener with subtle twists interrupting their hypnotic groove. Artbat, the Ukranian duo of Artur & Batish, are currently among the most successful Ukrainian electronic acts and enjoy global recognition. Born in 1981, Boris Brejcha started his musical education in his childhood. His first two releases in 2006, “Monster” and “Yellow Kitchen” were released on the Berlin label Autist Records. A few EPs later, Boris moved from Autist Records to Harthouse. With tracks like “Die Maschinen Sind Gestrandet” and “Lost Memory”, he combined his unique sound with a maximum of varieties. Consequently, he became the “exceptional Talent 2007” in the electronic music magazine Raveline. Boris also created his second alias called “ANNA” in 2007 and had some groundbreaking releases on Autist Records. After four years of touring, three albums and lots of singles, Boris became a constant favorite in today's club scene. Based in Düsseldorf, Germany, Loco Dice is a house DJ/producer with minimal leanings who is affiliated with labels including Four:Twenty Recordings, Ovum Recordings, Cocoon Recordings, M_nus, and Cadenza, as well as the label he founded with production partner Martin Buttrich, Desolat. Born Yassine Ben Achour in Tunisia, he began his career in the early '90s as a rap MC/DJ named Dice'C. As such, he experienced some modest success in his German homeland, for instance releasing the 12" EP Coming from D-Town (1996) on Flavour Records and opening for big-name rap/R&B performers such as Snoop Dogg and Usher. In time he switched from rap to house music and changed his name to Loco Dice in the process. Stephan Bodzin has been a hugely influential figure within the global techno scene for years. The reason the German has endured where many had fallen by the wayside is because of his devotion to authenticity. “Without it, everything would appear to be nothing more than a hollow shell,” says the son of an experimental musician who is now a revered talent in his own right. After starting out by composing music for several prestigious European theatres, Stephan Bodzin soon fell in love with nocturnal club sounds and began producing his own brand of techno. At the moment most of all I am inspired by such genres as electro, breaks, synth, acid, ghetto, bass, jungle, UK and rave at the same time delving in romininal, minimal breaks, groove, ukhouse. As a member of SOJUZ collective I’m involved in pursue of organising parties fostering underground culture from different sides of electronic music, visualisations and clubbing approach. Austrian drum'n'bass duo Camo & Krooked were founded in 2007. Both Camo (born Reinhard Rietsch on April 23, 1983 in Salzburg) and Krooked (born Markus Wagner on July 31, 1989 in Lilienfeld) had been active since 2002, before they teamed up and released their first singles from 2008 onward. Their first album, Above & Beyond, was released in 2010 and introduced their blend of drum'n'bass enriched with house, dubstep, and fun. Claptone is a German DJ and producer duo which specializes in house and tech house genres. They are recognizable by their plague doctor-style golden mask, which serves to intrigue the public as well as keeping their identity hidden. Claptone first surfaced in 2011 with a series of digital singles on Shir Khan's Exploited label. Glasgow-based DJ/producer Hector Barbour (aka Denis Sulta) creates vivacious, melodic house with underground sensibilities. Born in Glasgow in 1993, he grew up with a keen interest in dance music, landing his first job at the infamous record shop Rubadub. It was during his tenure there that he took up both music production and DJ'ing under the guidance of his co-workers, who were all very passionate about the scene. His early tracks were darker in tone, but as he started playing more and more gigs, his music became more uplifting. To reflect the change in style, he reversed the name Atlus to Sulta and adopted Denis as a prefix (originally spelled "Dennis," a printing error led him to drop an "n" in favor of Denis). The Eats Everything EP followed on Dirtybird, and Pearce, preferring performing over studio time, continued with a series of consistent releases over the following years. Eelke’s life has always been intrigued by modern technology. Being fascinated by everything related to science fiction and technological developments, his interests are anything but your usual cup of tea. He is currently getting a degree in biological psychology at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. At home, his TV is tuned into Discovery Channel frequently. A real “Trekkie” perhaps as well, as he is a big fan of Star Trek. It is no surprise that Eelke enjoys watching the sky, not just on a warm summer day, but preferably at night, when he can aim his telescope at the stars and planets. It is not as severe as it sounds though, as he loves spending his free time playing video games and watching South Park. His biggest passion however is, without a doubt, music.,The world of music today is closely related to technology, something Eelke discovered at a young age. Therefore it is not strange at all that he got involved in it. “I could have easily ended up with an ICT related job”, he adds. Over the years Eelke has built and repaired a fair share of computers and also designed a variety of websites, including his own. At age 14, he got his first job working as a website designer for a music store. It gave him the opportunity to explore the studio equipment they sold in much detail, bringing home every piece of hardware he could get his hands on during the weekends.,In 2003 Eelke released his first single “4.5 Billion Years”, interestingly named after our planet’s currently estimated age, on Segment Records. This very limited 12 inch drew the attention of John Digweed and Seb Fontaine and is still held in high regard up to this day. It opened the door to labels such as Lost Language and Plastik Park. It was not until early 2006 however, that Eelke would indefinitely make an impact on the dance scene. Many months spent in the studio resulted in a series of releases, the most noticeable probably being “8 Bit Era / Import Bride” on Baroque Records which was very well received and got included on Nick Warren’s “Global Underground 030: Paris” compilation. “8 Bit Era” also received solid airtime on Dutch National radio. Ever since, many labels have taken notice of the sympathetic Dutchman, resulting in remixes for the likes of Jeff Bennett, Madoka and Snake Sedrick. In early 2007 his remix for Kosmas Epsilon’s “Paranoid” was picked up by Hernan Cattaneo for his Renaissance compilation "Sequential 2’.,It is difficult to describe Eelke’s sound in a few words though. “I am easily bored with music, I don’t like recycling sounds and ideas all the time”, he explains. His almost trancy cooperations with fellow Dutchman C-Jay indeed are very different from the dark and twisted grooves he has produced with Nick Hogendoorn and again different from the ambient and chilled-out songs he has written himself. “As with my DJ sets, I need variety in order to remain interested in what I’m doing. Producing different styles is almost like a way to express the different moods I’m in”. The recent signing of “Walkabout” on Ork Recordings with Nick is a perfect example, receiving critical acclaim from artists as diverse as Fish Go Deep, Nic Fanciulli and Anthony Pappa. Outside the Box Music, Eelke’s label launched in 2006 and part of the Groovecollection Music Management, reflects his taste in music like nothing else, with releases varying from techno-edged minimal to funky progressive house.,Spring 2007 saw Eelke taking the next leap towards fulfilling his dreams. Months of labour finally paid off when his debut artist album ‘Naturally Artificial’ was snapped up by Global Underground. It did not take the guys at GU long to see its potential. “Needless to say I am extremely happy about it!”, he adds. “Global Underground is one of the labels that have been around since the beginning, you don’t get a chance like this every day”.,So what else is there for Eelke you ask? We almost forgot to mention he is an excellent DJ as well, having played gigs in many European countries as well as Lebanon and Jordan. Grace Dahl is a Techno DJ and producer from Amsterdam with a mixed heritage of Finnish and Hungarian descent. The Vault Sessions resident plays a refined selection of styles, with a focus on hypnotic yet powerful Techno that showcases dominant percussion and draws inspiration from both old school and hard groove influences. Her deep-rooted love and passion for music can be traced back to her parents, who organised electronic music events in Budapest during the 90s. Influenced by her parents' musically driven upbringing, she ambitiously embarked on her career when she was a mere 18 years young. Fast forward to present day, Grace is currently at the forefront of the thriving scene in The Netherlands and is swiftly accelerating within international circuit. She has been showcasing her craft at various renowned events around Europe with a jam packed 2023 schedule, playing at the likes of Awakenings, Vault Sessions, FUSE, Sziget Festival, RSO, Rotterdam Rave, Soenda Festival, Intercell and By the Creek, among others. 27-year-old Ida Engberg started DJing hip hop and soul aged 14 after a boyfriend showed her how to mix, but she says “I had absolutely no plans on becoming a DJ, I just saw it as a new way to listen to and interact with music and I loved it!” But fate had other plans – while at a friend’s bar aged 18 his regular DJ called in sick. Ida talked her way onto the decks on the proviso that if it wasn’t working after half an hour she’d get off again – by the time she’d finished playing she’d secured her first weekly residence. “I was probably a terrible DJ” she says modestly, “but he loved the music so he booked me every Friday. At this time I was playing lounge music, ambient and soulful house.”,Ida honed her mixing skills and bagged her second residency through more fortuitous timing – working as a host at a big nightclub, Spy Bar, she stepped in for the errant resident DJ who’d had a skinful and promptly disappeared, leaving the dancefloor in silence. The owner immediately changed her job description to DJ, and put her in the main room, kicking off her DJ career proper. “I guess it was there it really started” says Ida. “I was playing house, tribal and electro and I really loved every second of it! I kept my residency there for two and a half years until I decided I wanted to spread my wings a bit.”,A move to Marbella brought 8 months of club gigs, followed by a season in Ibiza which inspired Ida musically like no other place. “I had fallen deeply in love with the minimal techno sound so it was perfect at the time. In Ibiza I met so many people who shared the same dream- To be working with music.” “I was playing in bars and smaller clubs and in afterhour parties. Everywhere I went it was people with the same passion for music as I had.” At the end of the season, Ida returned to Stockholm landing a top residency at Cocktail Club, the best underground club in Stockholm. “My first gig was a warm up for Eric Prydz and after that I did warm ups for everyone from Damian Lazarus, Mandy, Anja Schneider and Jennifer Cardini to Roger Sanchez and Steve Angello. “Stockholm is a great platform for electronic music. There are so many great producers and DJs living here and people really support each other.”,Although DJing is her first love, it was only a matter of time before Ida tried her hand at production. Her first effort was the massive Disco Volante – signed by John Dahlbäck to his Pickadoll label and released in 2007 with a Sebastien Leger remix it became a huge hit all over the world, featuring on compilations from Ministry of Sound, Defected in the House and Pacha Ibiza. It charted across the whole of Europe, doing especially well in Holland, Belgium and Germany. She can be found playing her brand of minimal, techno and tech house in clubs all over the world every weekend, and her love of what she does is obvious to all. Playing unplanned sets allows her to respond to the crowd, and she’s rocked parties and clubs like Miami’s Sunday School for Degenerates, Yes at Watergate in Berlin, Tomorrowland in Belgium, Melkweg in Amsterdam, Catwalk in Rotterdam and Op Art in Portugal to name a few. Lately she also took part in the Drumcode parties with Swedish companion Adam Beyer. “It’s still a musical journey, my style develops all the time and I’m always open to new impressions” says Ida. “That’s what makes it the best job in the world!”

Berlin-based singer, songwriter, and bandleader Jan Blomqvist merges intricate, club-friendly tech-house with tuneful, melancholic pop. His songs are filled with minimal yet propulsive beats, detailed production, and yearning vocals recalling Thom Yorke. He often performs and records with pianist Felix Lehmann and drummer Christian Dammann, in addition to writing with lyricist Ryan Mathiesen. Blomqvist began singing and playing guitar as a youth, and got into techno at the age of 21, after which he decided to pursue music as a career. He spent his nights working as a bartender at a club and making tracks, developing his blend of minimal techno and pop songwriting. During the next three years, Blomqvist played over 300 gigs throughout the world, and released a handful of additional singles, leading up to Remote Control, his debut full-length, which was issued by Armada in 2016. ~ AllMusic

Jeff Mills, along with Robert Hood, Carl Craig, and Joey Beltram, is one of the biggest American names in techno. DJ and producer Marcel Dettmann is recognised as one of the most influential proponents of contemporary techno. Widely associated with iconic trademarks including Berlin, Berghain and Hard Wax, Dettmann stays true to his roots by consistently innovating his interpretation of electronic music, integrating art with the scene. Raised in the former GDR, in a small town near Berlin, Dettmann had already begun to develop his passion for electronic music in his youth. Bands like Depeche Mode, The Cure and Front 242, as well as post-punk and industrial, count as his earliest influences, long before he discovered his affinity for techno. His hometown lacked a record store specialising in electronic music, so between 1995 and 1998 Dettmann began selling vinyl from his own home. He purchased records from various distributers, Hard Wax amongst others, both to resell to his friends and to cement the foundation for his own considerable collection. Like many of his friends, the mid-nineties saw Dettmann frequenting Berlin’s nightlife. This included club institutions E-Werk and Tresor where the resident DJs of that time aroused his passion for the Chicago and Detroit influenced sound. In 1999, after many (including self-organised) parties, his turning point came; Dettmann began to work as a resident DJ at Ostgut, Berghain’s predecessor. Shortly thereafter upon receiving a job offer from Hard Wax, he finally moved to Berlin. His apprenticeship as a vinyl buyer and seller as well as DJ, granted him an extensive depth of musical knowledge and intuition. Dettmann quests tirelessly for new ways and inspiration to further develop his own concept of electronic music. His label MDR (Marcel Dettmann Records) serves as a platform upon which to shape his musical vision, and through its releases, to launch new talent onto the techno scene. As a curator and producer, Dettmann fosters the call to create in a way which is equally timeless and innovative. His own releases comprise two albums on Ostgut Ton, numerous singles and remixes for artists of various genres – Junior Boys, Fever Ray, Moderat, Commix, Clark and Laibach to name a few. Furthermore, he has produced compilation albums for London’s fabric club, Berlin’s Berghain, the Belgian techno label Music Man and one issue of the DJ Kicks compilation series on !K7 imprint. Outside of the club context, Marcel Dettmann has established himself as a multi-faceted artist. He designed the sound concept for „New Works“, an exhibition of photographer Frederike von Rauch, contributed to the contemporary dance project „Masse“ – together with Frank Wiedemann and choreographer Nadja Saidakowa in cooperation with Berghain and the Berlin State Ballet. His single “Seduction feat. Emika” provided the soundtrack to director and screenwriter Parker Ellerman’s short film of the same name. With its inception in 2000, the trio has been focused on popularizing drum'n'bass genre, which they lace with heavy Jungle, Garage, Progressive House or Dubstep elements. The group has helped shape Krakow's club scene by bringing in the top artists and exploring upscale venues with better soundsystems, that can handle bigger crowds. Besides that, they're co-creators of the BassTheory event series in Warsaw, which was nominated for 2007's Night Brands Awards. The music of CLS & Wax has made them recognizable beyond their country's borders. Their debut was on the British label Hospital in 2003, and they played at their 10th anniversary celebration at the Heaven club in London in 2006. Palms Trax is a producer and Dj based in Berlin, Germany. His first record was released in October of 2013 on London-based imprint Lobster Theremin. For aspiring DJs and producers, or indeed anyone who appreciates a good story, the genesis of Palms Trax couldn’t have read any dreamier. You know the one; curious yet naive son of the English Riviera lands a job at one of London’s leading record stores and discovers the masters of Chicago house and Detroit techno. Later, stumbling around Berlin, his primitive attempts to emulate the sound of his newfound heroes accidentally land him a bona fide dance floor hit. A gradual but steady stream of EPs courtesy of Dutch dance music powerhouse Dekmantel have allowed his productions to blossom in richer, smoother directions. On 2015’s ‘In Gold’ EP, and throughout the following year’s ‘High Point on Low Ground’, halcyon hallmarks of house - euphoric piano lines, bubbling acid and luminescent keys - are shot through with Donaldson’s tough, distinctive percussion. It’s that same connection with Dekmantel that has encouraged Donaldson to quickly, impressively evolve as a DJ of some distinctive taste and talent. A memorable performance at Dekmantel’s flagship Amsterdam festival in 2015 captured open hearts, lost minds and aching feet. Even though reality shows have been trying to prove otherwise, a successful career as a musician, even as a pop star, cannot be forced with a pre-packaged crash course. As of 2010, Paul Kalkbrenner has tallied up more than 15 years of experience as a producer and live act, all the while learning what it means to go purposefully from one step to the next. When the Berlin Wall fell, he was 12. The soundtrack of his youth, and of the majority of his generation, was still in its infancy, awaiting its breakthrough: techno music.,The fall of the wall meant reunification, but above all, a sense of no holds barred. The eastern part of the city became the anarchic, creative playground for a euphoric youth, now freed from bureaucracy. The early 90s were formative years for a young Paul Kalkbrenner as well. Eventually, in one of many long and sleepless nights on the dancefloors of E-Werk, Planet and Whale, the dream was born to make music himself, and anything less important would be put aside. A job as TV editor got him through the mid-90s and financed his first music gear. By this point Paul had already decided that he did not want to be a typical DJ playing other people’s records, but rather to play only his own music, live in a club setting. His first tracks were released in 1999 on Berlin-based BPitch Control (the newly founded label from Ellen Allien) as the Friedrichshain EP, titled after his home district in the city’s east. A series of further singles and two full-lengths (Superimpose and Time) followed, plus continuous live performances that threatened to shatter the grid of his calendar.,Together with Paul Kalkbrenner, BPitch Control gained a strong momentum. Interviews in respected German magazines like Spex and De:Bug paved the way for regular international bookings. The Lufthansa fetishist had now become a frequent flyer. Paul’s third album Self (2004) would mark the beginning of a new era. His melodic sound, with its affinity for grand emotional gestures, obeyed the logic of the dancefloor, but Self introduced a narrative aesthetic, serving as a soundtrack to a film that didn’t exist (at least, not yet…). It was Paul’s most musical and mature album to date, although still taking cues from the dancefloor and rave culture, offering a first glimpse of what was yet to come. "Gebrünn Gebrünn”, released one year later, became a crossover hit found in every DJ’s record bag and finally cemented Paul’s status as a Techno MVP.,In early 2006, German director Hannes Stöhr, an avid fan of Self, decided to get in contact with Kalkbrenner. His idea was to produce a film about a musician in Techno City during the new millennium, and Paul would compose the soundtrack. The two met, traded ideas and experiences, and soon after began working on the screenplay’s first draft. In the course of their exchange, Hannes had the realization that Paul should not just contribute the music, but that he would be the perfect choice as the film’s star. Without hesitation, Paul accepted the offer. They decided to title the film Berlin Calling. For the soundtrack’s production, Paul and his friend (and BPitch colleague) Sascha Funke spent half a year in Cézanne’s hometown of Aix-En-Provence in southern France.,Unencumbered by the cold, gray Berlin winter, Paul devoted himself entirely to the musical aspect of the project. One song already had a title: “Sky and Sand” with vocals by Paul’s brother Fritz. Upon Paul’s return to Berlin in 2007, the filming began, and the finished work was brought to German theaters in October 2008. Berlin Calling and Paul’s debut acting performance received positive reviews, and the film, thanks to its authentic depiction of the Berlin club scene and drug culture, became, slowly but surely, a cult classic.,The soundtrack and especially the single “Sky and Sand” broke all sales records. That track in particular went gold in Belgium where it remained in the charts’ Top Ten for weeks. The 2009 DVD release of the film brought Paul to a new, much larger audience around the world. By the end of the year, Paul separated with BPitch Control after a decade-long relationship to take the next steps of his career alone. In early 2010 Paul completed a twelve-city live concert tour throughout Europe (with over 50,000 tickets sold within just a few weeks), followed by many headlining appearances at summer festivals. Paul Ritch is a minimal techno producer based in Paris who quickly rose to international renown in 2007 after making his production debut only a year earlier. Ritch is most closely affiliated with Resopal Schallware, the label founded by German tech-house duo MRI. He made his production debut on Resopal Schallware in 2006 with the Samba 12? EP; subsequent releases on the label include Winter Ceremony (2007), Natural Gun (2007), and Summer Ceremony (2007). Also in 2007 he released 12? EPs on a number of other labels, including a pair on Get Physical Music (Fortuna, June), one on Fumakilla (Back to the Time), one on Paradigma Musik (Higher), and one on MiniSketch (Nordbanhof); plus, that year his productions were featured on at least nine different mix albums, including John Digweed�s Transitions, Vol. 3, Gui Boratto�s Addicted, Vol. 2, Layo & Bushwacka!’s Global Underground: Rio, and M.A.N.D.Y.’s Ibiza ‘07. He also somehow found time in 2007 to release the Le Bal Masqué 12? EP, a collaboration with fellow producer Okain under the Handycraft alias, on the Kickboxer label. Peggy Gou is a South Korean-born DJ and producer based in Berlin. During the 2010s, she became internationally renowned for energetic DJ sets, which dreamily flow through various styles of techno, house, and electro. Formed during 2002 by three musicians from Western Australia with similar visions and musical backgrounds, Pendulum’s mission has always been to pull together their production resources, ideas and influences from various styles of music, to create a new sound that they felt was missing from dance music. The individual members behind Pendulum had been active in Perth’s live music scene for several years: producer / vocalist / keyboardist Rob Swire and producer / bassist Gareth McGrillen played together in the acclaimed Perth band Xygen, while Paul ‘El Hornet’ Harding was a veteran of the Perth DJ scene.

As far back as the early '90s, Ricardo Villalobos began building an impressive discography of 12" releases on respected dance labels like Playhouse and Perlon, and around the turn of the decade he was one of the most revered producers and DJs in dance music. In his youth, the Chilean-born Villalobos moved with his family to Germany in order to avoid the military dictatorship of Pinochet, and he eventually fell in with the country's fertile house community. A minimalist at heart, he trotted the globe to study percussion in order to apply his knowledge to his productions, which almost always sound remarkably expansive despite their simplicity. In addition to his own solo material, he has recorded with fellow expatriate Dandy Jack as Ric y Martin and with Luciano as Sense Club; additionally, he has taken part in Markus Nikolai's Hombre Ojo project. ~ AllMusic

However his involvement with the band didn’t last very long as on hearing dance music Nick was totally blown away by it’s diversity and the variety of sounds on offer. Consequently he decided that the tone of rock music didn’t satisfy as he felt it to be far too limited, in contrast Nick found the unlimited tonal possibilities of dance music to be extremely exciting. Particular music that got him hooked included; General Levy’s “Incredible” and most things from Prodigy’s early years.,Nick actually started making beats at the tender age of thirteen on an old Acorn computer, although to begin with he was just messing around he quickly found his passion and this light hearted hobby gradually became an obsession. It’s important to note that until recently Nick has been entirely self taught, his only aid coming from a whole host of software instruction manuals which he enjoyed reading from cover to cover.,Things didn’t really start to happen for him until last year when he made a conscious decision to take his production process extremely seriously. Nick enrolled in a renowned sound engineering course in London’s East End, where he found himself polishing up his self taught skills, whilst also going deeper into the realms of truly understanding the concept of sound.,Eventually Nick managed to make a few things that he felt proud of so he began to give out some CDs for his friends to listen to, only looking for a bit of feedback. However, a certain friend decided to take one of these “Don’t Play Them to Anyone Else” CDs and give one to award winning DJ and Ram Record’s label owner Andy C. On hearing the tracks Andy not only saw talent but he saw a release, within hours Nick had the phone call and within weeks Nick had his first release on Ram’s much respected sister imprint Frequency: a 12" featuring “Down the Drain” with “Hotline” on the flip.,With this new found confidence in mind; in recent months Nick went in the studio and rolled out three brilliant bits of production in quick succession. To Nick’s delight all of them got the stamp of approval; “Acid Test” and “Get On Up” will act as his follow up release on Frequency whilst his brilliant “Strobe” is to be included on Chapter Six of the Ram Raiders series on Ram Records. All the above tracks have been really well received by the scene’s top flight DJs but to Nick’s surprise press and radio have been in support too; they’ve all received regular airplay on both Grooverider’s BBC Radio 1 Drum & Bass show and Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 prime time specialist show.,All that remains to be said is remember the name and watch this space.

ZHU is the mysterious Chinese-American artist behind the 2014 hit single “Faded”. His real name is Steven Zhu and he was born in 1989 in Los Angeles, California. Although he released his first single anonymously in 2014, it wasn’t until 2015 that ZHU revealed himself as the mastermind behind the project. Over the years, he has become one of the most prolific electronic music producers in the world. ZHU’s career began with his self-titled debut album in 2014. The album featured several hit singles such as “Faded”, “Stay Closer” and “Working for It”. Since then, he has released four more albums: Ringos Desert (2016), Generationwhy (2016), Stardustexhalemarrakechdreams (2017) and RINGOS BACK (2019).
