Austrian drum'n'bass duo Camo & Krooked were founded in 2007. Coco Bryce may be a relatively new name to most in the UK, however he’s been plying his trade for around two decades. Hailing from Breda in the south of the Netherlands, it was back in the ‘90s when he first became enamoured with the sounds of breakbeat hardcore and gabber — the latter, he feels perhaps inevitable for a Dutch kid, despite it being at odds with the skater culture he was also a part of.“The raw energy just grabbed me,” he says. Learning to DJ from his friends, Bryce (real name: Yoël Bego) got himself “a pair of shitty Soundlab belt-drive turntables”, started to pick up bookings at a mate’s local night, and the rest, as they say, is history. Production-wise, Bego’s journey has been a winding one. Over the years he’s dabbled in four-to-the-floor hardcore, skweee and, quite regularly, hip-hop. It’s his emotive, rolling take on breakbeat hardcore/jungle which has become his primary focus, however. The group has helped shape Krakow's club scene by bringing in the top artists and exploring upscale venues with better soundsystems, that can handle bigger crowds. Besides that, they're co-creators of the BassTheory event series in Warsaw, which was nominated for 2007's Night Brands Awards. The music of CLS & Wax has made them recognizable beyond their country's borders. Their debut was on the British label Hospital in 2003, and they played at their 10th anniversary celebration at the Heaven club in London in 2006. You know the one; curious yet naive son of the English Riviera lands a job at one of London’s leading record stores and discovers the masters of Chicago house and Detroit techno. Later, stumbling around Berlin, his primitive attempts to emulate the sound of his newfound heroes accidentally land him a bona fide dance floor hit. A gradual but steady stream of EPs courtesy of Dutch dance music powerhouse Dekmantel have allowed his productions to blossom in richer, smoother directions. On 2015’s ‘In Gold’ EP, and throughout the following year’s ‘High Point on Low Ground’, halcyon hallmarks of house - euphoric piano lines, bubbling acid and luminescent keys - are shot through with Donaldson’s tough, distinctive percussion. It’s that same connection with Dekmantel that has encouraged Donaldson to quickly, impressively evolve as a DJ of some distinctive taste and talent. He has produced in such labels as Steyoyoke, Mono Noise or Balkan Connection and was a finalist of Burn Residency contest in 2014. He is a part of Titan International agency ran by Philipp Straub, as well as a member of Warsaw’s dj trio T2P. As a resident of Smolna club (Warsaw, Poland) Sincz had an opportunity to play warm-ups before such stars as Guy Gerber, Joris Voorn, Loco Dice, Ten Walls, Rodriquez Jr., Âme, Nic Fanciulli, Paco Osuna, Adam Beyer, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Magda, Jan Blomqvist, Chaim or Andy Buttler (Hercules & Love Affair). He gained his experience alongside with development of polish club scene since he was 18 years old. Back then, in 2006, he played his first set in famous Piekarnia club and only one year later he started to organize bookings for afterparties in legendary Tomba Tomba club. A breakthrough point in his career came with participation in Burn Residency competition in Ibiza. From 2014, Truant could be heard at most Polish festivals such as Audioriver Festival, Opener Festival, LAS Festival, Plotzlich Am Meer, Wisłoujście, Come With Us, Summer Contrast as well as winter Snowfest. Currently associated with the capital clubs: Smolna and Luzztro. First time behind the decks was around 2004 in the legendary, but unfortunately no longer existing Paragraph 51. Since that time he has been oscillating between different genres. Hailing from the leafy suburbs of South West London is Ram Recordsʼ new signing Wilkinson. His first insight into making music came at the age of 9 when his parents bought him a drum kit. Mark ʻWilkinsonʼ joined a few bands and was playing at venues as far as the Birmingham NEC and as close as the local old peoples home. This swiftly ended at the age of 14 when Wilkinson discovered his passion for dance music amongst other things. In his final year at college Wilkinson tried his hand at making beats in the college studio, this lead to him buying his first bits of production gear and turning his bedroom into a studio. A few years and part time jobs later, after driving his family mad with large amounts of bass loosening the brickwork of his house, Mark secured himself a studio not far from his home.,After fine-tuning his production skills, Wilkinson passed a few songs on to Hospital Records via Cyantific, which led to his first release on Hospital Recordsʼ Sick Music 2 compilation. ZHU is the mysterious Chinese-American artist behind the 2014 hit single “Faded”. His real name is Steven Zhu and he was born in 1989 in Los Angeles, California. Although he released his first single anonymously in 2014, it wasn’t until 2015 that ZHU revealed himself as the mastermind behind the project. Over the years, he has become one of the most prolific electronic music producers in the world. ZHU’s career began with his self-titled debut album in 2014. The album featured several hit singles such as “Faded”, “Stay Closer” and “Working for It”. Since then, he has released four more albums: Ringos Desert (2016), Generationwhy (2016), Stardustexhalemarrakechdreams (2017) and RINGOS BACK (2019). He has also collaborated with many notable artists such as Tame Impala, KAYTRANADA, Skrillex, and Nero.
