Jonathan Kusuma is a musician, producer and DJ based in Singapore and Jakarta. Running his label and Parties Dekadenz in Jakarta, a resident DJ in Headquarters and Tuff Club in Singapore. After all, what other DJ can lay claim to the title of Miss Teen Filipina Hawaii? How many can say that their first job in nightlife was when in high school, serving as the in-house dancer and serving rave smoothies at an all-ages club? How many, after moving to New York by way of San Francisco in the early ’00s, can say that they helped to rejuvenate the city’s then-stale nightlife via her residency at one of the best parties ever held in a hole-in-the-wall gay bar, the Mad Clams affair? How many have tasted stardom as one of the original members of the scene-making dance-music collective Hercules and Love Affair? Exactly one, and it’s Kim Ann. LZZY is a Malaysia-based self-taught DJ, who has gone from teenage bedroom selector to regional club regular. From her early days of drawing inspiration by dancing it off to fidget electro, to spending summers in Europe, LZZY's sound has since grown to cover what she labels as high energy party music. After her debut on Lovefingers’ ESP Institute, Powder’s cosmic rhythms found a home on Samo DJ’s Born Free & Discodromo’s CockTail d’Amore Music, pushing her tribal-inspired, hypnotic sound further into a surreal house, techno and psychedelic disco territory. She recently ushered in a brand new mix series for Beats in Space, a further testament to her DJ skills and sensibilities. Beyond her work as a music creator, Powder’s DJing backs up her production style with many influences. As a selector, she has notably eclectic tastes, which run the gamut from house to no wave to Japanese synthpop, utilizing extended loops and subtle blends to create a genre-defying, transcendent experience.

̸BIOGRAPHY Filipino Producer & DJ Saint Guel. An artist to keep an eye on. Miguel Santiago aka Saint Guel basks in dance music — his being distinctly warm and clean-cut. The Filipino DJ/producer started behind the decks at 15 and tinkered with personal production two years after. Since then, he’s carefully carving his corner: an altogether irresistibly groovy one. Across his recent releases, "Caught Up" (FuFu Records) "Still Life” (More Rice Records / Thailand) and “Over and Over / For The Floor” (Transit Records / Philippines) are easily breaking through as foreseeable dance floor bangers post-pandemic. Perhaps it’s him soaking up the Manila nightlife, his frequent pilgrimage across international festivals or his inherent taste and thirst for a warbling world. Entering its fifth year More Rice has become one of the key names in South East Asian Underground Dance Music. As a DJ and Producer Sarayu is considered as an integral player in Bangkok’s growing underground house and techno scene. His UK driven sound has taken all over the world playing venues and festivals such as Zukunft, Silbergold, Village Underground, Fabric and Feel Festival. He can be seen playing regularly at some of Bangkok’s key parties and venues such as Never Normal, De Commune, Karma, Transport and Wonderfruit Festival. Under quarantine in 2020 Sarayu released his first track on a VA compilation “Harvest Vol. 1”, under his own imprint. In 2021 he released his debut EP “Pridi 303” again, on More Rice, remixed by MR. Ho. As well as, opening More Rice Record Store, a hotspot for music lovers and vinyl diggers all over the world and launching Bangkok Community Radio. Early 2023 Sarayu released his latestl EP “Intelligent Jump Rope Music” scheduled for release on Boiled Wonderland Records, keep an eye out for more remixes and releases over the course of this year.

It’s hard to pin Sivanesh’s style down. Crafting and developing his own brand of sultry off-kilter house and groovy heads-down techno through his long-standing residency at CÉ LA VI Singapore, his sound goes above and beyond current genres and trends. At its 5th year now, the residency sees him taking charge of the world-renowned main room, playing extended DJ-sets every Sunday night. Apart from this residency, Sivanesh is a regular fixture at some of the region’s most respected venues, with regular dates at The Headquarters and Kilo Lounge in Singapore. Co-founder of Sivilian Affairs and music director for Potato Head and Kilo in Singapore, Sivanesh also holds a monthly residency on AAJA Radio in London every third Monday of the month. Sivanesh’s sound goes beyond current trends in genres. Held together by equal amounts of rhythm & groove, his diverse playlists have led him to play alongside cult favourites such as Chaos In The CBD (In Dust We Trust), d’Julz (Bass Culture), Gerd Janson (Running Back), John Talabot (Hivern Discs), Kornél Kovács (Studio Barnhus), Okain (Talman Records), and Rampa (Keinemusik). Regional attention started after a well-received opening set at Cercle’s debut Asia show in 2019 with The Martinez Brothers. Since then, he has gone on to play at festivals and dance institutions across the region such as Airhouse (South Korea), Iron Fairies (Kuala Lumpur), Potato Head (Bali), Savage (Hanoi), Villa Project (Saigon), and Weekend Voyage (Phu Quoc). Powered by the belief that Asia is the place to be right now for dance music, Sivanesh co-founded the bookings and events agency Sivilian Affairs, which emphasises local and regional talents. In line with his goals of strengthening the Asian dance scene and building a healthy ecosystem through Sivilian Affairs, recent bookings for their parties include Baldo (Subwax) from Barcelona, Dr Yez (Tantra) from Bali, Jesse You (Walls & Pals) from Seoul, Jonnyvicious (Shagrilla) from Kuala Lumpur, Manikk (Savage) from Hanoi, Roshan (SaturdaySelects) from Kuala Lumpur, and Dexter Colt, Leland, Mako, Ramesh K, and The Weatherman from Singapore. Citing seminal American house music duo Mood II Swing as an early musical influence, Sivanesh's diverse playlists are held together by equal amounts of groove and soul. His roots will always be house, but being open-minded and anchored in the belief that only quality matters and genres do not, he is always aware of what the room he is playing for needs. That may be his best trait. It is this versatility that enables him to share the stage with some of the finest selectors in the world, such as Chloe (Bpitch), Chaos In The CBD (In Dust We Trust), d’Julz (Bass Culture), Jasper James (Optimo Trax), Rampa (Keinemusik), and more, in the last few months. More recently, he was selected by Cercle to warm up for their debut Asia show with The Martinez Brothers in November 2019, and then ended the year with a well-received DJ set at the Rainforest Pavilion at the Wonderfruit festival in Thailand. He might surprise you with a track from an unexpected corner, but that's exactly what he intends to do.

̸BIOGRAPHY Space Afrika With their slow-stepping, spacious urban dubscapes, Space Afrika harness ambient, Detroit techno and shades of early nineties Sheffield with a fresh and open approach to composition — this is dub techno stripped-down, sealed in a time capsule and sent back from the near future. Driving, echo-laden deep beats form the bed for a heavily subaquatic sound palette with undercurrents of cybernetic dread. Friends for almost 2 decades, the two Joshuas formed Space Afrika after years of listening to music together, sequestered by harsh Northern winters. Heavily inspired by the industrial architecture of Northwest England and notions of travel, their sonic framework evokes images of rust and disintegrating concrete, and sensations of movement and redemption — exuding a distorted analogue soul offering escape into their overcast skies. Closely associated with Brighton/London label, Where to Now?, who slink along a vintage axis of post-punk, On-U Sound, minimal and no wave influences, Space Afrika's diverse and creative radio shows (notably their residencies on NTS and Reform Radio) also display a breadth of curiosities in experimental and avant-garde music, old and new.

Snake charmer born and located in Thailand with Indian and Japanese roots. Co-founder of Siamese Twins record label focusing on psychedelic sounds rooted in Asia. Co-runs the Karma Klique collective known for raves at obscure locations. As a producer, he released on imprints such as 禁 JIN, Ute and Siamese Twins under his own name, Mogambo and Khun Fluff aliases. As well as periodic ambient albums on his own Extans Mantra imprint. Which led to sought-after collaborations with Full Circle, Yu Su, S.O.N.S, Marc Pinol, and Benedikt Frey. A household name across the region for over a decade playing spaced-out music in forests, warehouses, and castles.

Following a string of celebrated releases leaning on everything from kitschy euro sounds to deep funk and latin jazz, the relatively new to the scene Todd Terje has already made his mark within dance music circuits. Gems such as the cheese monster “Eurodans” and the latin disco-fuelled edit of Jacko’s “Can’t Help it” under his Tangoterje edit-moniker instantly made industry types and clubbers alike go bananas, and whatever the 25 year old Norwegian puts his fingers on, it always comes out with that crucial blend of musicality and playfulness.,Growing up in the rural village of Mjøndalen, dance music influences were scarce, and no, there was never any Diskoklubb there. Not a lot of obscure disco or acid house in his milk either. However, during the early/mid nineties dance culture sneaked it way into even the most remote parts of Norway, thanks to the popularity of acts like The Prodigy and national radio stations filling prime time slots with underground jocks Olle Abstract and Pål “Strangefruit” Nyhus. On the more personal level, Terje’s sister was a close friend of the late Tore “Erot” Kroknes, and the tapes she brought home to the young Terje became a major source of inspiration. Playing around in his early teens on a crap PC together with his mate Dølle Jølle, Terje made his first attempts on house and jungle, which they played from cassette tapes on junior high school-dances. Maybe too young for old music back then, Terje reckoned that disco was all a bit silly – until Bjørn Torske’s “Sexy Disco” caught his ears in 1999.,Training to become a pianist Terje enrolled at a local music school, but to his disappointment there wasn’t much jazz being taught there. Gradually leaving the musical career path, he later moved on to studying physics at the University of Oslo. Although not longer aspiring to become a pianist, he was by no means over music. In 2001 Terje got in touch with Prins Thomas, who was at the time working at HS Records in Oslo. Thomas soon recognized his potential, and helped pushing Terje in the right directions. Oslo is a small place where like minded folks tend to join forces, and with his thorough musical understanding and nerdy like interest in old and new records spanning from that new Idjut Boys 12" to experimental synth bands very few of us have ever heard of, he soon became one of the key players on the Oslo electronic disco scene. Besides working on his own projects, Terje’s played on some of Prins Thomas’ tracks, and not to mention his remix of the Lindstrøm 12" “Another Station”.,Is it house, funk, techno or disco? Terje is speaks of catchy rhythms, dubby sounds, dreamy synth layers, cinematic moods, a playful approach and searching for that one nerve when asked to describe his music, and the resistance to being pigeonholed is obvious. His next ambition is to make a concept album ala Voyage’s first “around-the-world” release, if he can find time between other projects, studies and DJ gigs. Terje has already played around Europe, and is looking forward to gigs in Japan and NYC this summer. “I both like playing big room/macho style, but at the same time it’s the girls I play for really. So I guess it’s a mixture of high octane, leather homo-disco done up with mambo, coconuts and lipstick”. Definitely one to look out for.

First blowing a gale as a forerunner of the new wave of Melbourne dance producers, Tornado Wallace’s distinct and perceptive electronics now find him in a constant rotation of both hemispheres, spending most of the year based in Berlin. From formative house beginnings, the ESP Institute initiation Thinking Allowed proved Tornado Wallace as a force to be reckoned with - the driving groove and Will Powers stargazing quickly matched by an EP of eco-electro burners on Beats In Space. This two timing continued for another round with ESP issuing the elegant Circadia, while Beats In Space got their churning acid two-tracker Kangaroo Ground/Ferntree Gully. In tandem, krautback duo Coober Pedy University Band was formed with Otologic’s Tom Moore, who he’d previously stirred up trouble with as fractions of C Grade and Animals Dancing - two long standing parties of undeniable impact on their hometown. Their trance inducing debut on Soft Rocks' imprint Kinfolk recruited vocals from a lesser known Chet Faker, followed by the bonkers 2014 anthem Kookabura. Amsterdam-based devotee Van Anh is a DJ pur sang with over a decade of experience to her name, making her the respected artist we get to enjoy today. The name 'Van Anh', which translates to 'clouds', fits her way of mixing like a glove, allowing her to resonate with the sound waves of her liking.
