The slowed samples and house party vibes of Bompton rapper Jay Worthy and Vancouver producer Sean House might conjure G-Funk classics of old, but this ain’t a DeLorean on Daytons. Mentored by the late A$AP Yams, LNDN DRGS have pulled from generations of game to make modern day slaps all their own. After burning down the stage at Fool’s Gold DAY OFF LA (leaving a trail of curl activator in their wake), LNDN DRGS and FG have combined forces for the free album Aktive, featuring some of the funnest, filthiest West Coast jams we’ve heard in our lives (and cover art by OG Doggystyle illustrator Joe Cool). Roller rink basslines, low riding flows, crucial, um, “dating advice”… this is LNDN DRGS raw and uncut, welcoming everyone to the function.
