A quick rundown, Insomniac has owned HARD over the last 5 years and as of 2018 they completely run the show so it was only right for them to bring back a fan favorite, DOTD. You saw how they ran HSMF so we all know this festival is about to be just as amazing.
For those lucky enough to attend this amazing Halloween festival know how incredible it truly was. Back when Gary Richards ran HARD he brought some of the dopest talent the dance music culture had ever seen in Los Angeles. HARD Day of the Dead featured some of the most legendary acts such as Justice (Live), Knife Party, The Bloody Beetroots, Gesaffelstein, ZHU’s first festival appearance, Baauer B2B RL Grime, Deadmau5 VS Eric Prydz, and more.
HARD was the first festival to bring many DJs to the forefront of LA before they ever played a Wonderland festival or EDC, these artists include Justin Martin, Duke Dumont, Maya Jane Coles, Claude VonStroke, Cirez D, Jamie Jones, Tokimonsta, Nero, The Magician, GTA, Soul Clap, Dusky, Jack Beats, and many more. Day of the Dead was truly a trendsetter that gave a lot of our favorite DJs a platform to really showcase their skills to the world. And look at them now as they’re playing the biggest nightclubs and festivals around the west coast.
