The Drifter, also known as Mark Flynn, is first and foremost a music enthusiast. He is an all-around talent, and his passion for what he does shines through in every aspect of his work. As a noteworthy producer, versatile selector, and label owner, he boasts over a decade of experience in the music scene.
He burst onto the scene with his debut EP on the Munich-based label Permanent Vacation. James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem described his EP as "really nice, gentle, and strong." Following this success, he co-founded his own label, Maeve Records, alongside close friends Mano Le Tough, Baikal, and Lil Dave. Maeve Records has consistently released highly regarded electronic music, achieving significant acclaim along the way.
The breadth of his talent as a DJ has allowed him to tour the world, performing at prestigious venues such as Berghain/Panorama Bar, Pacha, Space, Trouw, Robert Johnson, and Coachella. He has also made notable contributions to the Boiler Room and Beats In Space DJ mix series.
Over the years, he has become a sought-after remixer, demonstrating an innate ability to put his unique spin on tracks. His love for music transcends genre boundaries, evident in his radio shows and DJ mixes.
