about
Introducing the sensational Xhin, a visionary in electronic music, renowned for pushing boundaries and creating immersive sonic journeys. Get ready for an unforgettable night as she takes the decks at Headquarters.

Xhin (pronounced as "sheen") has been crafting ominous cuts of cutting-edge electronic music since 1997. Building a forte in sound design, he is best described as a sound futurist. His identical rhythmic structure and compositional techniques, which incorporate elements of techno, tight sub-bass, ambient, and IDM, deliver a hint of a chaotic soundscape amidst artistry. A Singaporean by birth and residence, he independently released "Xycle," a self-promotional EP that garnered industry attention, in early 2003. He then followed it with his debut album, "Supersonicstate," the following year.

In 2006, his talent was discovered by a German independent record label, Meerestief. His remix of Dublin's Five Green Circle's track entitled "Ronan's BBQ" created a storm over Europe, praised, supported, and charted by heavyweights from the world of electronic music. Three years later, Xhin found a new home when he joined Berlin's then-new techno label, Stroboscopic Artefacts, to release his dark, intense, and experimental side of things. This marked the beginning of a new old direction for him to explore and experiment with sounds even deeper in his future releases.

Playing alongside Xhin, Thugshop’s very own - Kavan

Having acquired a keen ear for quality sounds through his exposure to a wide spectrum of cutting-edge dance music, he has developed a distinctive style of fusing a myriad of genres ranging from house, minimal to Detroit techno.

On the decks of Upstairs, Thugshop’s very own - Kevin Sy & Ma De

A prelude of intense, melodic flavour of house and techno that will get you grooving to the latest sounds as the night fills your soul with an endless mirage of techno house beats.
