about
KNOPHA
Through his own take on 90s oriental ambient music, Noah Li aka Knopha is slowly drawing attention within and outside of China. He is paving his own way through the unknown world where dance, ambient music and alien soundscape coexist. The surprisingly well-received EP ‘Nothing Nil’ that was released via Shanghai-based label Eating Music, instead of the deep house groove he was previously known for, Noah presented an enigmatic fourth world 3-tracker built on the 90s inspired sound palette. The record was supported by Chee Shimizu, PLO Man, AZ, Julian Horn and etc. Besides being a producer and DJ, Noah is also a party promoter with goals to connect China with the underground worldwide. He co-founded club night Beatween, which has hosted revere selectors including Orpheu The Wizard, Pender Street Steppers,Bake,Bell Towers and etc. He also co-produces a podcast show Beatween Radio, a platform to share a wide range of music with guests.
TENG
Teng has been playing music across a multitude of dance scenes originating in Australia across to Singapore and Hong Kong where he is based. As former resident DJ behind the eclectic Art Bar, Teng has pushed many genres, ranging from Disco to House and Techno. Teng’s ascent into the pantheon of top tier DJs began in the underground rave scene of 1990’s Sydney. He has been drawing influences from far and wide ever since, delving into disco, funk, breaks, house and techno digesting these diverse sounds and pushing them back to dance floors with his signature mixing style. Continually searching for the next sound to progress his style, Teng still scours genres from around the world, adding the best of the best to his leviathan repertoire.
