The little festival with big sound is back for its 6th edition. From October 30th to November 1st, 2020Shi Fu Miz, our favourite Hong Kong Festival, is heading back to Cheung Chau for 3 days of music from boundary-pushing electronic artists. This season, they’ll be operating with a greater focus on lifestyle, ecology, sustainability, well- being, family and scenography.

More than a festival, Shi Fu Miz invites its festivalgoers (old, young, and in-between, everyone is welcome) to explore the grounds, enjoy the many activities, including roller-skating and yoga, and take part in creative workshops. The stages and installations will be crafted by local and international designers and there will be a huge focus on sustainability. When you attend the Shi Fu Mix music festival you can rest assured that this festival is doing its part to keep our earth happy and well. Partnering with Blond:ish and Bye Bye Plastic, Shi Fu Miz is working towards a zero-waste event and a music industry free of single-use plastics. With sustainability at the forefront of their principles, Shi Fu Miz has also teamed up with One Tree Planted for their 2020 edition. For every ticket sold, one tree will be planted.

The guys and gals of FuFu and La Mamie’s have continuously blown us away, each edition of the Shi Fu Miz festival outdoing the previous. With humble beginnings, they’ve seen a surge in popularity, particularly following their Boiler Room takeover that was broadcast to over 2 million people. This year’s festival will be an intimate gathering of two thousand.

Just a 30-minute ferry ride from mainland Hong Kong, Cheung Chau boasts sandy beaches with a priceless view. Festivalgoers will head to the grassy stretches of Sai Yuen Farm where they will be met with three stages and sounds that will keep them grooving day and night.

Those looking to stay the night on Cheung Chau are invited to BYOT (bring your own tent) or choose from one of their camping options. From glamping to safari-style camping, you can catch some z’s under the night’s stars.

Amid all the chaos and uncertainty that exists in our (post)-COVID world, Shi Fu Miz has ensured that the festival will only take place if it is appropriate and safe to do so. Pending a cancellation or postponement, all tickets will be issued a refund or valid for the new date.

We believe that when you put things out into the universe, they have a better chance of happening. So grab those tickets, and we’ll see you at Shi Fu Miz in October!
