Nanogram is the Hong Kong-based DJ project of Jason Ng. Since 2017, Nanogram has evolved through different genres ultimately finding his unique style of blending techno, industrial, and experimental electronic music. Heavily inspired by post-punk and industrial music culture, Nanogram has since determined to bring the dystopian sound to Hong Kong. Realizing the lack of well-tuned sound systems and a music-focused venue in Hong Kong, which limits the possibility of enjoying the far left segment of electronic music, Nanogram found a team of like-minded and driven individuals to build 宀 Club together and started his event series at the club – Entropy 熵, which emphasizes on experimentation on the art of selection, mixing and live performances. Nanogram is a resident DJ of 宀 Club and has performed alongside Phase Fatale, Mr. Ho, Sinus O, and more. He has also performed at a renowned experimental venue in Tokyo, KGR Tokyo, and has contributed a podcast mix to C-Kay’s Coma Hole series.

Resident at 宀 Club, Hong Kong 4 am on a Saturday at a packed sweaty club in Sheung Wan, body to body dancing to a range of sounds from Boy Harsher to an unreleased remix of Madonna’s “Bedtime Story” to Islamic chants over a marching techno beat. Just one night before, in the very same district, police were firing rounds and rounds of tear gas to freedom-fighting protesters. That pretty much sums up what Youry does now: DJing from his heart; taking risks and making history despite chaos and negativity. Youry was born in the late eighties in Antwerp in the background of the nascent EBM / Big Beat scene in Belgium. His father was a musician and Jazz producer turned entrepreneur, while his Chinese Cambodian mother gave him an Asian sensitivity. But he really caught his dance music bug when he saw Akufen playing at Montreal’s Stereo in the early noughties. Since then Youry has become a vinyl addict, building up a meticulously categorised collection. His DJing career took off in 2015, setting foot at various clubs and festivals in Hong Kong such as Shi Fu Miz, Sonar, and Acadana. Since 2018 he has become a resident DJ at 宀 club, widely regarded as the first venue in Hong Kong to be on par with the best clubs in the global dance scene. It is here that he earned the freedom to build up all-night-long eclectic sets. As the local situation gets more volatile, a party where people can feel free becomes more relevant than ever. The stakes are high, but Youry is determined.

YONG YING is a Hong Kong-based techno dj who got on the decks in 2020 and has since obtained a reputation for playing dark, heavy and fast-paced hypnotic sound that liberates the mind. She also takes pleasure in presenting obscure and niche sonics to her audience. She aims to bring new, unusual sounds to the world, because she sees music as a important outlet amidst the mundanity of daily life. From Eaton Radio to Social Room to Mihn Club, the name YONG YING is steadily making its mark in Hong Kong's subversive scene.

Distrikt resident DJ and co-founder based in Hong Kong. After spending time in New York, Justin (Faxtory) became fascinated with the city’s underground music scene from regularly attending parties where legendary local DJs would play (eg. Frankie Bones, Damon Wild, Adam X). As a resident DJ and co-founder of the collective and club night Distrikt (Hong Kong), Justin aims to share his experience by integrating uncompromising and cutting-edge sounds with the local scene. Expect an eclectic mix of tracks and a blend of polyrhythmic beats brought together by groovy footwork that you might hear at an industrial warehouse in Brooklyn, or at a basement in Queens.

TAKU HIRAYAMA (Junktion) Taku Hirayama, or simply known as Taku, is a Japanese DJ based in Asia. Exploring DJing at the turn of this century, Taku cultivated a wide range of music selection with many chances of musical meeting across the globe in past years. Leaving the shores of southern Japan, Taku relocated himself from Fukuoka to Hong Kong over a decade ago. There he launched his own platform "Junktion”. A venture for inviting credible names in the industry and like-minded artists, also exposing hidden talents to global audience.

Through a selection of high-level grooves and top-shelf energy, Vence’s sets deliver a lush blend of bass-heavy rollers combined with euphoric electronica. Raised in The Hague on the coast of the Netherlands, Vence was exploring dancefloors and collecting music as a youngling well before he took up DJing. With a move to North Africa, he quickly became part of the vibrant Tunisian music scene, playing for the influential ‘Downtown Vibes’ collective, the mesmerizing Tunisian ‘Woodstock Festival’ and many clubs such as ‘Wax Bar’, ‘Yuka’ and ‘Habibi’. Vence is currently based in Hong Kong. Though you might catch his jazzier side playing vinyl sets at the Mandarin Oriental, he has found a true home with the minimal stronghold ‘Interlude’, where his sound has been given a platform for opening doors and minds alike. Towering over the decks with a smile, Vence intends to make otherworldly sounds feel familiar and bring listeners together in sonic moments that briefly make us whole.

In Adrianna's sets, she maintains a trance-inducing state by staying open-minded about music Emerging from Hong Kong, Adrianna began her creative trajectory in life as a photographer and graphic designer. Adrianna's first glance at electronic music came through when she moved to Cologne, Germany to study design, she was drawn by the underground raving scene in the city, thus it was only natural that she goes on this path by working in electronic music-related fields and djing when she returned to Hong Kong. The young DJ has been making a mark on the dance floors by infusing heavy, minimal, and industrial techno, groove-centric breaks, and electro into her layering, sophisticated sets. In Adrianna's sets, she maintains a trance-inducing state by staying open-minded about music.

Raised in Paris Anyss is starting to make his mark in the Hong Kong underground music scene. An unwavering passion for electronic music has led him to explore a variety of sub-genres, from Italo-disco to EBM and techno emulating a style of music called Italo body music, synthesizer and rolling bass line including elements of early 90s Trance and Acid are mixed in this style for added flavours. The precision in his track selections creates a groovy and energetic dance floor experience.

As a film critic and scholar, Dan-Neo is a firm believer in storytelling. His DJ sets often bring you ups-and-downs by merging different genres across countries and eras, drawing elements from disco, house, techno, dub-step and more. He can demonstrate an effortlessness of going from hard bangers to soft chill-out tunes, and vice versa. The unique texture of his sound is a result of adopting both minimal and maximal approaches to musical selection and mixing skill. Nonetheless, his musical taste is deeply rooted in those beats and tunes that embrace a cinematic and cosmic tone. Dan-Neo has been honing his skills as a DJ after he joined Acadana - the best kept secret in Hong Kong - back in 2016. Darka kicked off his DJ career in late 90s and was the champion of "Hong Kong Pioneer DJ Competition" in 2003. It was a milestone of his spinning career and made himself a well-known figure amongst dance floor. Since then, he has devoted all his vigour to the development of electronic dance music in Hong Kong. His name has come across with many notably DJs and producers, such as Paul Oakenfold, Nick Warren,Timo Maas, Santos , Jimmy Van M, James Zabiela, Tall Paul, Evil Nine, Radio Slave, Tiefschwarz, Butch, Meat Katie, Peace Division, Elite Force, Stelios Vassiloudis, Takkyu Ishino石野卓球, JDS, John Graham (Quivver), Phil K, Adam Freeland, James What, Noah Pred, Luke Fair and Andy Moor. The co-operations with those big guns strongly influenced his music styles and techniques. Deep House is his signature, loops and effects are his trumps. Till this day, Di Linh often plays in familiar places like Savage, Kobala, Smack Dab,... through local events HUM, Snug, SBD, This is, Guinguette, Unuzual and Quest, Duality, Recess, Studio Adventure, Epizode Festival. Besides, her name also appears the same night with well-known artists such as Lauer, Red Rack’em, Local Suicide, Haruka, Omer, Curses and many more around the world in Epizode. And the highlight of her music career was her performance in HUM Showcase (Epizode) with Marco Yanes, which also mentioned in the official review from Data Transmission. Each space gives her different inspirations, Di Linh is always looking and developing herself to give the audiences a fresh feeling, while still retaining her own unique color. Spinning records since 1996, Dj NeeNo has been on the clubbing scene ever since, rocking some of the hottest dance floors among Europe, United States and now Asia. Originally from Italy, NeeNo’s music reached the United States in the early 2000’s, when his mixes were exported and distributed nationwide in record’s stores and mixtapes booths cross-country. The “Neeno Chicago” project takes over between 2001 and 2010, covering many residency spots in thewindy city where Dj NeeNo blended his European groove to House and Hip Hop beats, bringing in his sets a unique hype. The club experience was later followed by a radio show on Italy’s Radio "RC International" with a weekly dance program, also putting together an international Dj Team for the American "Strictly Dance Radio". Landed in Hong Kong in early 2013, NeeNo is keep rocking the local scene with his “old school” touch, mixing exclusive beats.

DMK is a Miyazaki native, a specialized Japanese chef by day and digger in his free time. In Miyazaki, he was part of the “Boogie or Die” and “Spice” party crews. Heavily influenced by boogie, funk, and soul, he has a smooth and sensual approach to DJing and an endless appetite for records. As the co-founder and 1 of the 2 main sourcers for Bad Times Disco, he curates rare Asian groove records, dance singles, and only understands pure quality. Bad Times Disco is an online record store, pop up party, and radio show in Hong Kong made up of two committed diggers, Ani Phoebe (NYC) and DMK (Japan). Together, they dig for the city's forgotten records - rare Asian grooves, dubby disco, soul, experimental electronic music, 90s dance and more.

Fiedel limitlessly undermines & overrides expectations. He's no average techno or house DJ. His sets build something new, while capturing the moment. Whether straight techno, banging 80's acid or electro funk: he always surprises. Contrast. Objection. Antithesis. This is how you might start an attempt to describe the world. A seemingly chaos of shapes and thoughts that don't belong to each other. An overall image to be found in life and in music. But that's not how Fiedel views things. Where others make distinctions, he sees connections, where others find emptiness, he finds rooms full of opportunities. Finding those harmonies, connections and contexts marks out his musical work. The synthesis of apparently opposing music, the interaction and the mix of styles and moods, without loosing the storyline, that makes out the characteristic Fiedel sound. Born and raised in Brandenburg, he finds access to the music through various artists and styles in the mid 1980s. He was influenced by artists of the old school hip hop like Mantronix and Egyptian Lover and the early works of Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk. A very important influence was Monika Dietl’s radio show at Radio 4U in West-Berlin. Her show aroused the fascination and the longing for musical freedom and diversity, that was not possible in former Eastern Germany. Those impressions gave him a first feeling, a first vision of what should become alive later on. After the wall came down, the way was open to access a fresh scene, and with it came a whole spectrum of new and old music to discover. In the beginning of the 1990s, he started DJing in public as a regular at the Monday events at Subversiv. Shortly after he began his collaboration with his befriended Errorsmith under the name of MMM. They released several productions and play live shows. Since 2000 he is resident at OstGut and later on at Berghain. On the compilation Fünf he had his first solo release on the incorporated Ostgut Ton label, followed by contributions to the compilations Various (2013) and Ostgut Ton | Zehn (2015). In 2012 he eventually founded his own label Fiedelone, to give his own productions a more personal base. In spring 2014 he developed a live set, which he premiered at Berghain. March 2017 saw his first full Ostgut Ton release with the 12" Substance B, followed up by his contribution to the Berghain mixes series in January 2018.

Finsent C is an artist native to Hong Kong, who has seen his sound evolve innumerably since his initial foray into DJing in 2009. Having been a drummer and member of a local band in his formative years, he eventually sought refuge in electronic music; cultivating a sound that can best be described as fluid, and with an emphasis on the hypnotic spectrum of techno. He perceives sets as flowing journeys, which requires time, and an element of patience to achieve. His music project - Cipher, is a metaphor for his musical direction and vision – 'experiencing' parties that verge on the ritualistic, to which point they have been described as otherworldly. Artists both locally and internationally continue to be invited to express their various forms of deep, experimental and meditative sounds.

A regular inside the DJ booth of Pawnshop, Taipei - Gemnital used to live in Berlin and study to be a sound artist. Gemnital, who grew up inthe 90s, embarked on a musical journey ranging fromHip-Hop and R&B to rock, jazz, experimental music,exploring the realms of psychedelic, funk, and disco. As time went on, he delved deeper into various genres but eventually circled back to Mandarin golden melodies. During his studies in Leipzig, Germany, he found himself immersed in underground warehouse parties held in ruins and forests. Later in Berlin, he discovered his true self in a multitude of clubs and queer parties, mastering the art of creating and maintaining energy and ambiance within different spaces. Now back in Taipei, he is a regular DJ at Pawnshop and a regular member of the popular queer party "Hakone Hotspring" and "Homepleasure". On the dance floor, he aims to play without boundaries, seamlessly blending familiar and unfamiliar tracks picked from his diverse musical experiences, creating an atmosphere of pure dancefloor bliss. Recently, he has been exploring the intersection of Techno and House, seeking speed and exhilaration from genres like Hardgroove, and strives to craft sets that take the listeners on a captivating journey with well-defined peaks and transitions. Beyond his DJ persona, Gemnital is deeply involved in sound research and the field of sound art. He is a university lecturer and critic in the realm of sound art, and his personal sound walks and installation works have been showcased at art festivals such as Berlin's 48 Stunden Neukölln.

Guido Balboa starts his music journey in Hong Kong. His style is highly influences by his roots that are based in the country of the Dolce Vita. As he is slowly introducing himself in the Hong Kong scene he is discovering everyday something more about the well known and the forgotten artists of his native country making his mission always more clear: Make Italo Disco Great Again.

JayMe may not be a familiar name globally, but try mentioning it to any credible DJ in HK, and you will be met with wide opened eyes and a big grin. Cuz he’s one of the most respected figure in the local scene. He grew up in the 70’s witnessing the disco boom first hand. He kept his love collecting records and going to parties for more than 30 years. Began DJing from 2013 alongside his medical career, earning the title “the Disco Doctor”. Started his own Loft style private club in 2015 called Acadana (literally means Party without a care) which has become the most cherished place amongst all underground DJs. Dabbled into Techno territory in 2017 playing at Teknival, Social Room etc. 2018 saw him did several unforgettable gigs at 宀club, the rising star of HK’s scene. Regardless of the genre he’s playing, JayMe is still deeply rooted in old skool NYC style with just one resident DJ for the whole night, à la Larry Levan or Junior Vasquez...

House/Techno DJ based in Hong Kong, Marco is a trained guitarist for over a decade and crossed over to electronic music in 2010, and since then has focused in the art of DJing and production A co-founder of Utopia Hong Kong, Marco & Utopia are now a household name firmly cemented in the underground of Hong Kong.

Born and raised in North London, music has been a consistent undercurrent throughout meta's life; from his early days spent recording his favourite songs from the radio, and to the influences from his parents' and friends' selections. Having initially focused on primarily playing psychedelic trance, an introduction to Sandwell District's revered 'Feed Forward' LP signaled the start of a new phase. A torrent of new influences then led meta on a meandering path of esoteric techno. At present, meta avoids sitting in any one pocket; contented more with crossing over and exploring genre mutations. By embracing every personal musical imprint, he tries best to convey these broad elements onto the dance floor. With a growing reputation as a versatile taste-maker; meta's forward thinking yet nostalgic approach continues to draw praise. Based in Hong Kong, he is a resident of Cipher, and a regular selector on the local circuit.

̸BIOGRAPHY House/Techno DJ based in Hong Kong Inspired by music and art at a very young age, Mill H, the tattoo artist-turned-DJ, has been exploring his art of sound since 2009. Mill’s selection is beyond the boundary of genres and styles. The music he chooses to play often embraces a rich texture and reflects the atmosphere of the crowd and venue. For Mill, a great DJ set is a journey of balancing and merging the mind and music——aurally feeling the space; physically expressing the emotion. Mill is also a co-founder and resident DJ of the party collective, UTOPIA Hong Kong. UTOPIA has been actively involved with and pushing Hong Kong’s electronic music scene, gathering both local listeners and performers at once.

Under the Priori Moniker, Québecois musician Francis Latreille has established himself as a crucial voice in underground techno. His 2019 full-length debut On A Nimbus, released on his own NAFF imprint, was a haunting foray into the possibility/impossibility of technological utopia, where elements of dub techno, drum & bass, IDM, and tech-house curiously converged, resulting in an album at once familiar, modern, and undeniably singular. Francis followed that with a string of essential releases–from the slow-burning techy meditations of SCN and Little Flower to the anthemic, trance-inflected Infinity–ending with 2021’s Your Own Power. Priori is also an accomplished mixing engineer; a quick search will reveal an exhaustive list of credits on projects by Roza Terenzi, D. Tiffany, Escape Artist, Bambii, Gene Tellem, Maara, and ex-terrestrial, to name a few. Between the label he runs with Adam Feingold (aka ex-terrestrial) and the studio he runs with Patrick Holland, Francis is quietly shaping the course of underground electronic dance music in Canada and abroad.

Belgian DJ, owner of the Kalahari Oyster Cult label and the vinyl-focused distribution One Eye Witness. Working a symbiotic balance between his day job behind the steering wheel of Amsterdam-based webshop and distributor One Eye Witness and his seafood-luvin'label Kalahari Oyster Cult, when the night clocks in, Brussels native Rey Colino has long proven his dedication and talent when it comes to ubiquitous on and off-stage dancefloor busting operations. Thrusting his arrows smack dab the intersection of '90s grown ambient techno, sun-bleached house, further hybrid bassy riddims, and acid-infused electronics, Colino casts his net far and wide to paint amply textured, straight-out groovy narratives that, in addition to syncing up the dancers together through elaborate selections and surgical DJ swagger, sure know how to buildup the highest levels of energy and harness the ensuing storm with ever consistent style and panache.

Roi Perez is a Berlin-based DJ, After a headstart playing records in 2011 as a local resident in Tel Aviv’s underground queer clubbing scene, he moved to Berlin in 2013 in order to continue his personal journey of establishing a coherent, creative and diverse musical language, skills, style and knowledge. Not so long after, he started playing to Berlin’s busiest dancefloors, including being invited to play at the notorious fetish club Lab. Oratory and Berghain’s Panorama Bar. In 2015 Roi started touring worldwide, performing in important clubs and destinations all across the globe. Roi’s long, eclectic sets offer a dynamic musical journey through genres and styles, where house and techno music are weaved together with disco and electro to create a hypnotizing, powerful yet playful musical experience. Roi is currently living in Berlin, working as a music selector in the local branch of London’s important music establishment Phonica Records.

Romi’s sound has developed into a strain of techno/ house that is consistently directed towards generating an atmospheric abyss. His sets are deep, yet pure – even filled with a certain degree of emptiness. It is this emptiness which invites the listener to get lost on an individual journey of possibilities. SAM Futura spent the last decade shaping the sounds and scenes of South East Asia. Born in France, Sam moved to Hong Kong in 2014 where he helped build the community from the ground up through his collective and booking agency Cliché Records. Along with three friends, Sam diversified and expanded HK’s underground, bringing fresh sounds to the city and the region. In 2018 Sam moved to Hanoi, Vietnam, where he opened the legendary nightclub Savage and handled the artistic direction. What makes his DJ very special is the consistency of the groove although the songs he plays are very diverse. You will see strong funkiness created from machine groove through his style. Today, he is organizing a party called Spotseek at Sound Bar Mui in Chiba with this concept “local 2 local”. It means that not just booking DJs through agencies, but directly getting connected with them and the local scenes they belong to. They invited DJ Sotofett & DJ Fett Burger, Luca Lozano, DJ TLR, Mr Ho as well as Japan-based DJs and live artists. In 2017, he released his first DJ mix Western-Western from ROKOTSUNA MUSIC in Osaka.
