Resident at 宀 Club, Hong Kong 4 am on a Saturday at a packed sweaty club in Sheung Wan, body to body dancing to a range of sounds from Boy Harsher to an unreleased remix of Madonna’s “Bedtime Story” to Islamic chants over a marching techno beat. Just one night before, in the very same district, police were firing rounds and rounds of tear gas to freedom-fighting protesters. That pretty much sums up what Youry does now: DJing from his heart; taking risks and making history despite chaos and negativity. Youry was born in the late eighties in Antwerp in the background of the nascent EBM / Big Beat scene in Belgium. His father was a musician and Jazz producer turned entrepreneur, while his Chinese Cambodian mother gave him an Asian sensitivity. But he really caught his dance music bug when he saw Akufen playing at Montreal’s Stereo in the early noughties. Since then Youry has become a vinyl addict, building up a meticulously categorised collection. His DJing career took off in 2015, setting foot at various clubs and festivals in Hong Kong such as Shi Fu Miz, Sonar, and Acadana. Since 2018 he has become a resident DJ at 宀 club, widely regarded as the first venue in Hong Kong to be on par with the best clubs in the global dance scene. It is here that he earned the freedom to build up all-night-long eclectic sets. As the local situation gets more volatile, a party where people can feel free becomes more relevant than ever. The stakes are high, but Youry is determined.

AngeliKa is active in the electronic music scene in Hong Kong, playing diverse genres ranging from deep house, and techno to jungle and DnB. AngeliKa is a Hong Kong-based DJ and co-founder of the local event label "Abyss". She is characterized by her versatile, hypnotic yet melodic soundscapes and pounding rhythms. Through music, AngeliKa wishes to take listeners on a journey into the unknown, to explore the peculiar and beautiful corners of their minds.

Casey Anderson’s take on house and techno is based on his deep respect for dance music’s roots: Detroit techno, Soul Train funk, and cosmic German electronic music. Ignoring charts, trends and clichés, his DJ sets are playful and unpredictable. Casey is constantly connecting new dots between obscure, classic and futuristic 4/4 dance music without shying away from the unexpected 80s synthpop or a disco anthem at peak hour. In 2013 the American-born DJ released his first tracks on Italian label Opilec Music (alongside inspirations like Derrick May and Todd Terje) before joining fellow Hong Kong DJ Frederic Neve to launch Typhoon 8 Records where he has continued to release deep, dubby techno and house. Scoring his first DJ residencies at leading underground spots Yumla and Bassment, since 2009 he's played the closing slot at the city's Clockenflap Music Festival twice, and after co-founding the party collective Humdrum he frequently hosted and supported international guests like Deetron, Jimpster...

Gargoyle Girlfriend, the solo moniker of Rachel McInerney is an American born visual artist, producer, vocalist and DJ based in Hong Kong.

JVSY is a Producer DJ duo formed by Jovin Lee and Atlas Iu, also known as BURN and telvanni26. They debuted as techno producers in 2021. The organic instruments and found sounds they incorporate into their composition makes their signature cinematic sound. They are also known for their cross-genre explorations inspired by elements from house, techno, electronica, drum and bass, nu-jazz and more. With a strong classical and pop music background, they are also adept as filmer scorers, composers and session musicians.

Through a selection of high-level grooves and top-shelf energy, Vence’s sets deliver a lush blend of bass-heavy rollers combined with euphoric electronica. Raised in The Hague on the coast of the Netherlands, Vence was exploring dancefloors and collecting music as a youngling well before he took up DJing. With a move to North Africa, he quickly became part of the vibrant Tunisian music scene, playing for the influential ‘Downtown Vibes’ collective, the mesmerizing Tunisian ‘Woodstock Festival’ and many clubs such as ‘Wax Bar’, ‘Yuka’ and ‘Habibi’. Vence is currently based in Hong Kong. Though you might catch his jazzier side playing vinyl sets at the Mandarin Oriental, he has found a true home with the minimal stronghold ‘Interlude’, where his sound has been given a platform for opening doors and minds alike. Towering over the decks with a smile, Vence intends to make otherworldly sounds feel familiar and bring listeners together in sonic moments that briefly make us whole.

Ani Phoebe is a DJ from NYC who is currently based in Hong Kong by way of Rio de Janeiro. She founded Bad Times Disco, an online record shop in Hong Kong, and runs a monthly show called Parallel Worlds on The Lot Radio. She comes from digging tradition and favors lesser-known 80s and 90s records from unexpected corners and crates. One of Ani Phoebe’s areas of experience is the downtempo, cosmic disco, and synth-pop realms, being a resident DJ of the renowned underground music festival Cosmic Gathering (DE) and having performed at experimental stages on Nation of Gondwana (DE) and Atlas Electronic (MR). At the same time, her breadth also extends to heavy dancefloors and electronic clubs, performing sets that expand on 90s progressive house to 2000s Eurodance, digging for rare versions of nostalgic numbers. Weaving through all her sets are emotional, often female vocals, and synthesized sounds in all of their diversity and power. A strong emerging DJ on the global scene, Ani Phoebe has recently toured Brazil, the US, and Europe in 2022.

Arthur Bray is one of the Hong Kong/Shanghai/London-based collective Yeti Out, the 30-year-old has worn plenty of hats – model, DJ, editor… the list goes on. This flexibility is something he’s emphasised for Yeti Out, which started as a party-promoting music collective that has now branched out into everything from art shows, a record label and a creative agency. And of course, more parties. Well-known DJs on the Hong Kong and Shanghai party circuit, Arthur and his twin brother Tom are pushing the envelope for underground music in Asia. They’re helping genres such as grime, garage, Afrobeat, bass music, house and techno gain momentum in a city that’s probably better known for its EDM or pop-filled nightclubs than anything else. Right now, they’re setting their sights on local events such as Sonar and Art Basel in March, while concurrently working on an audiovisual set for their record label, Silk Road Sounds. Born and raised in Hong Kong,Arun has been in love with house music since his early teenage years, probably brought about from listening to his dad's collection of disco and all sorts of retro bits from his impeccable record collection. After picking up a pair of low-torque turntables at the age of 16, it wasn't long before his mixing skills got him a first residency at a small bar in the city. He now stays between Hong Kong and London, making and playing the music he loves.

Di Linh is a young artist from Vietnam. Since she began the musical path, she has been making her mark by the diverse and colorful music selection. She is a part of Hanoi Underground Movement (HUM) and resident DJ at Savage. Till this day, Di Linh often plays in familiar places like Savage, Kobala, Smack Dab,... through local events HUM, Snug, SBD, This is, Guinguette, Unuzual and Quest, Duality, Recess, Studio Adventure, Epizode Festival. Besides, her name also appears the same night with well-known artists such as Lauer, Red Rack’em, Local Suicide, Haruka, Omer, Curses and many more around the world in Epizode. And the highlight of her music career was her performance in HUM Showcase (Epizode) with Marco Yanes, which also mentioned in the official review from Data Transmission. Each space gives her different inspirations, Di Linh is always looking and developing herself to give the audiences a fresh feeling, while still retaining her own unique color. Peter Sabine, aka DJ Fab Sabs, launched his career hosting music shows on UK radio in Edinburgh in 1999, moving on to play in London, Glasgow, and San Diego in the United States. He has since played in numerous clubs and held residencies in Hong Kong, regularly performing at events. His style includes funky and electro-house, indie-dance, hip-hop and lounge. Corporate appearances include work for MINI, Miele, UBS and Quintessentially.

Guido Balboa starts his music journey in Hong Kong. His style is highly influences by his roots that are based in the country of the Dolce Vita. As he is slowly introducing himself in the Hong Kong scene he is discovering everyday something more about the well known and the forgotten artists of his native country making his mission always more clear: Make Italo Disco Great Again.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, JFÜNG started his journey in electronic music & djing in 2014, and after years of traveling around and exploring music selection & production, the underground scenes & music festivals from multiple cities like Los Angeles, Taipei, Shanghai, Amsterdam, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and more deeply influenced him. In the summer of 2021, JFÜNG curated DARK METAZ, an audio-visual-journey experience. This underground bass-music rave collective showcases talents with their darker sounds and visuals, including a resident radio show on FMBelowground. JFÜNG is obsessed with deep, dark, bass-heavy rhythms, and his live sets always take the listener on a journey of electronic music. In 2023, he was invited to play at Clockenflap, Omni Field & ShiFuMiz,. Dark Metaz was selected by artists like Hebbe (NL) & The Glitch Mob (US) as the official host & promoter for their Asia tour.

Licaxxx is a DJ and music producer. Having made her DJ-ing debut in 2010, she appeared at Boiler Room’s Tokyo event in 2016 before going on to perform at Fuji Rock and a host of European nightclub events. Licaxxx is also the organiser of TCR (Tokyo Community Radio), a video stream radio station inspired by Gilles Peterson and featuring the best of the city’s DJ talent.

A regular on the regional underground and festival circuit, Mengzy always packs a punch with diverse influences and plenty of bass weight - no matter what genres her eclectic sets journey across. The Hong Kong-based selector is a presenter on RTHK Radio 3, where she has hosted her own dance music shows, and has performed across Asia (Seoul, Shenzhen, Singapore, Macau), as well as in the UK (Oxford, London).

Under alias MLCH hides Florian Mélinette, co-founder of FuFu and Hong Kong based Dj. Music lover from his boyhood, this french guy spend most of his time digging in order to drop the secret weapons and classics, switching from Chicago House to Deep atmosphere without forgetting some funky/disco tunes. He play with passion and a desire to get a whole club bouncing. He already played alongside international artists such as Move D, Jayda G, Christopher Rau, Pablo Valentino, Trus'me, Soichi Terada, Jus-Ed, Lay-Far, Crackazat, Sameed,... His favorite expression: " When the drummers change their beats, the dancers must also change their steps."

Mogwaa is one of South Korea's shining stars. A producer with a vast repertoire of styles under his belt, he takes rhythmic cues from a wide palette, including jazz-funk, Latin percussion and dreamwave. His debut release on Peggy Gou's label, for instance, featured funky electro and sparkling Balearic house fit for Ibiza sunsets.

Entering its fifth year More Rice has become one of the key names in South East Asian Underground Dance Music. As a DJ and Producer Sarayu is considered as an integral player in Bangkok’s growing underground house and techno scene. His UK driven sound has taken all over the world playing venues and festivals such as Zukunft, Silbergold, Village Underground, Fabric and Feel Festival. He can be seen playing regularly at some of Bangkok’s key parties and venues such as Never Normal, De Commune, Karma, Transport and Wonderfruit Festival. Under quarantine in 2020 Sarayu released his first track on a VA compilation “Harvest Vol. 1”, under his own imprint. In 2021 he released his debut EP “Pridi 303” again, on More Rice, remixed by MR. Ho. As well as, opening More Rice Record Store, a hotspot for music lovers and vinyl diggers all over the world and launching Bangkok Community Radio. Early 2023 Sarayu released his latestl EP “Intelligent Jump Rope Music” scheduled for release on Boiled Wonderland Records, keep an eye out for more remixes and releases over the course of this year.

Co-Founder & Resident DJ at Ice Cream Sundays Hailing from Manila, Toppings (Jake Camacho) is best known for his work as co-founder, resident DJ, and core team member of Singapore-based party collective, Ice Cream Sundays. A lifelong student of music history, his exposure to diverse musical styles and traditions shines through in his eclectic approach to DJing. Rooted in deep, soulful, and psychedelic house infused with jazz, disco, funk, balearic, and afrobeat, each of his sets delivers a tasty blend of percussive grooves, playful experimentation, and—at times—pure, uncut optimism. Equally at home in a beachside booth, an intimate dark room, or playing to large, sweaty crowds, he has plied his trade at clubs and music-focused venues all over the city, including Headquarters, TUFF CLUB, CÉ LA VI, Kilo, Offtrack, Tanjong Beach Club, and Potato Head, to name a few. He has built a reputation for tasteful and versatile selection along the way, so it's no surprise he has been called on to support high-caliber acts like AlunaGeorge, Henrik Schwarz, Chaos In The CBD, Soul Clap, Jasper James, Tornado Wallace, Dekmantel Soundsystem, Floyd Lavine, Lowheads, and Bosq. Yadin plays a jumble of spooky noise, wonky disco, voguey house, b-boy electro and loose-limbed techno from his favourite labels like Osare!, Discos Capablanca, Atrophy and more so if these words sound interesting to you there is a good chance that you will dance rather than stare. While living in Singapore, he co-ran the notoriously decadent after-hours series Breakfast Club and later held a residency at Headquarters - where his off-kilter selections made him an ideal supporting act for visiting DJs like Black Merlin and Intergalactic Gary. Currently based in Hong Kong, he is now a resident of 宀 and their flagship industrial/ebm/techno night - Entropy 熵. He also co-runs RADIO HURUHARA, a mix series focused on the stranger side of electronic music.

Through his raves organised in warehouses, beaches and abandoned bunkers, Yunus is part of a generation of DJs and producers trained in Hong Kong. Based between Amsterdam & Hong Kong, co-founder of Transarctica label, Yunus has extensive experience with decks in all its formats. Following the label’s core mission to discover new sounds, linking a broad musical spectrum and a boundless vision of a cleverly mixed genre, ranging from bass UK, jungle, and Trance influence to “Balearics” rarities, his DJ sets blend into a distinct and eclectic selection. His production workflow is a balance between dance floor-relevant bass sound with experimental ways of making music, such as creative coding or generative art. With an alternative approach to DJing culture, resident DJ and A/V artist for different festivals, clubs, and sound systems, Yunus now focuses on developing Transarctica label. Yunus is also associated with Raito, an esteemed audiovisual design studio. Through Raito Studio, he has contributed to notable projects such as Waking Life, Dekmantel, and DGTL, creating immersive and visually stunning experiences that merge music, art, and technology.
