Boudica, a London-based label and party, believes that representation and visibility are vital in the music industry. Run by womxn and non-binary people, they give a platform to these artists and hope to inspire others to join them on the dark side of electronic music.

Spearheaded by DJ and producer, Samantha Togni, Boudica will host Boudica Music Conference, a livestreamed event, from The Freemason’s Hall in London this Sunday, November 15th. A mix of expert panels and DJ sets, the conference has been designed to encourage other womxn and non-binary folx to explore their options within the music industry.

Kicking off at 11am GMT, the various panels will cover topics related to mental health and well-being, press, PR, and social media, the underrepresentation of different genders, the importance of role models to young artists, and how those currently involved in the music industry have had to adapt and pivot during 2020. All panels are made up of industry experts, speaking to their specific field. Each panel is one hour, starting at 11am and finishing at 3pm. At that point, hour-long DJ sets from Samantha Togni, Proteus, Object Blue, and Tasha will keep the party going until 7pm.

The entire event is completely free and accessible to all, with an option to donate to the DJs. You can RSVP to the event here. The event will be hosted on Mixcloud Live.
