Full menu on the terrace tonight with a large contingent of local agents, all bringing their own individual sonic visions designed to make you move. From the twisted disco tricks of Saigon's premier ninja Teruu, to the tropical antics of Folio and Robat and eclectic wizardry of Obs founder Hibiya Line - it will all be on offer plus a lot more. Remember: at The Obs, the weekend starts on Thursdays.

FOLIO
Growing in French tropical island and originally hip-hop enthusiastic, Folio is a music treasure hunter. He grew up in a musician family with 2 brothers playing in Punk Rock bands as guitarist and bassist. As he wanted to look like his elders, he learned to play Drums and got passionate by rhythmics and groove. Time passed and he diversified his musical interests before arriving to the French capital underground scene. He spent 5 years there learning about electronic music and sharpening his gems’ hunting skills to share it with friends. Now based in Saigon since 2018, he learned and started Djing by the end of 2018, willing to share smooth grooves from house, electro, and minimal spiced with some energic disco!
ROBAT
At the age of 11, when Robat was still a young buffalo, he innocently pressed PLAY on a Miss Kittin record at his dad’s friend house. Few knew that this would change his approach to music for ever. After the first few seconds of the dark synths intro and the beat slowly growing up and making his head move. The unique, dark, cold and sexy voice that suddenly resonated from the track, made him fell instantly in love. But deeply damaged his brain and soul for all time… He’s since then, been seen wandering in front of DJ booths of France, Belgium and Vietnam for the last 15 years, seeking for any reminiscences of this synthesised voice’s souvenir, regardless the genre of music. Since not too long, Robat has decided to re-invoke the memory of this sad Electronic goddess and continue to share and spread her prophecy to the world by seating behind the deck. Mostly thrilled by the sounds of the 90s, Robat evolves from Disco to House, Deep House and Techno. And anything in between which is either groovy, funky or heavily synthesised.
