about
During this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, Minimal Collective and Nxt Museum are joining forces to digitise the dance floor. The worlds of contemporary electronic music and digital art will merge into an immersive online audiovisual experience to be showcased worldwide. Boris Acket and Vincent Rang will be taking over 370 square meters of projection surface through an audiovisual performance that portrays the rise of nature through microcosms that are enlarged on Nxt Stage’s immersive screen. The performance blooms at the intersection of closeness and distance, shifting the remoteness of the screen into a gateway of genesis.
In the hour-long performance, chemical reactions in Rang’s aquarium will give birth to eerie, icey forests and abstract rock formations. Emerging from this world, Acket & Rang invite you to experience the first signs of what seems to be an organic world, ultimately leading up to what their forthcoming album ‘Home’ is going to be. The latter can be perceived as a sonic sanctuary to escape in, and as a homage to daydreaming with unexpected departures from small details in your living room.
