AMALIA
AMALIA was first introduced to the music world via her work with Vancity’s very own Juno nominated jazz troupe Sekoya. Collaborations with soulful house legends Atjazz & Boddhi Satva soon sparked interest from South Africa to France. AMALIA’s debut LP “Art Slave” on Tokyo Dawn Records in 2011 launched her internationally, garnering critical acclaim and support from Prince, Osunlade, Bembe Segue, Q-Tip, & Kimbra to name but a few. Her involvement with Swedish house/funk producer Opolopo led her to shift continents from N.America to Europe. Residing in Stockholm for 6 years, she toured extensively and hosted UK/Sweden’s “Soulmates” singing alongside Joe Claussell, Chez Damier, Phil Asher, & Libation’s Ian Friday... now she’s back after living and healing in soul music meccas Chicago/Toronto!

DJ BEAUBIEN
After over a decade as a house music lover and supporter of the local scene, Beaubien was born in 2012 when Lila Bujold started mixing soulful and deep house music in order to hear the house sounds that she found were disappearing from the nightlife in her city. Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, this West Coast Canadian found a deep affection and passion for East Coast House Music. Her sound mixes the best promos and classics in soulful and funky house with an uplifting and inspirational vibe. Soulful vocals, happy keys and rich bass lines bring depth and warmth to her mixes. Beaubien's Carte Blanche radio show originally aired on New York based from 2015-2016 and now her show makes has a new home, mixed live every Saturday 4-6pm PST at Save On Radio's headquarters in downtown Vancouver. Her guest mixes have been featured on House Salad, Pockethouse and House Jet Radio. In 2016 and 2017 Beaubien was the Official House DJ for the Vancouver Street Dance Festival. 2018 marks the 5th anniversary of her bi-weekly residency at the Distillery Bar in Vancouver, BC where she mixes the sounds of the "future past"; crooner, 60s spy movie, soul, swing and jazz classics and modern throwbacks.
