Modestep are a dubstep and drum and bass influenced rock band from London, UK, achieving success with their breakout hit, "Feeling Good," in 2011. The quartet came together in 2010, after Tony Friend (production, turntables, guitar), who was already an established DJ, decided to form a band with his brother Josh (production, vocals, keyboards), who were then joined by Matthew Curtis (drums, percussion) and Nick Tsang (guitar), a former member of Go:Audio. The band has many similarities with Pendulum and The Prodigy, with their amalgamation of electronic dance music with rock influences. However, Modestep take more influence from dubstep, with a sound similar to Flux Pavilion and Sub Focus.
