MARK FARINA
Mark Farina has solidified himself in the world of Dance Music as a trailblazing DJ, Producer, tastemaker and bona fide House Music icon. After 3 decades crisscrossing the globe, he shows no signs of slowing down remaining innovative, humble, and firmly rooted in the underground. As an early House Music pioneer in the late 80’s, Farina’s history includes an impressive long standing residency at Smart Bar Chicago and a job at the legendary Gramaphone Records. In the 90s, Mark pushed musical boundaries and blended hip hop with downtempo grooves to create an entirely new genre, “Mushroom Jazz”. Eventually, Mark made San Francisco his home as his legendary DJ sets sparked a constant demand in clubs and festivals across the US. The Bay Area proved to be a perfect match for Mark’s musical vision and he released a string of major mix compilations including his Mushroom Jazz series. With a tireless passion for playing extended sets, B2B shows with fellow House Music icons, or playing both of his signature styles on 2 stages on the same night, Farina continues to entertain his incredible fans all over the globe with over 100 shows per year.

  • MARK FARINA

Over the last ten years, Mark Farina has built himself up to become one of the most sought-after DJs in dance music today. Though he is mostly recognized for his deep-house DJ prowess, it is Farina’ wide-ranging musical knowledge that helped shape the Mushroom Jazz series, a continuously mixed collection of down-tempo, dance-floor jazz for the turntablist generation. A mix-tape made over eight years ago was the project’ original seed – a similarly-styled tape of jazz tunes that articulated a mellower counterpart to the up-tempo “Acid Jazz” movement of the day.,Farina’ “Mushroom Jazz” sound subsequently became popular through a long-running San Francisco club called Jazid Up, then through various Mushroom Jazz clubs thrown domestically and abroad.,Farina began his DJing career at the age of 15, inspired by the strong house and dance music scene pulsating in Chicago’ underground. Along with long time friend and DJ partner, Derrick Carter, Farina cut his teeth on the college radio airwaves of Northwestern University’ WNUR every Friday night for 2 years. Farina has released one album, Mood.,(Nettwerk UK Records, under the name Symbols and Instruments), and several other mix projects including Seasons (Domestic Records), United DJs of America (DMC) and Imperial Dub’ compilation (Imperial Dub) in addition to the Mushroom Jazz series and his mix on OM Records’ “San Francisco Sessions’” debut.

  • Pressha

A staple of the West Coast electronic music scene, Matt aka Pressha has dominated the decks as both an opener and a headliner for many years. Starting out mixing classic rock records with hip hop and tirelessly creating his own mashups in his basement while honing in the art of the DJ. He later moved into breaks, house, drum n' bass, and after his first trip to Burning Man, bass music which he specializes in and has a very deep love for still today. Pressha is a DJ of great range and his years of experience and passion for music is evident in his performance. Whether he's wrecking the dancefloor as a resident of Seattle's hype weeklies (Forms/Field Trip @ Q Nightclub)a one of at Monkey Loft, Kremwerk, or Nectar with one of his crews (Tom Kha/Upperleft) sonically stimulating a crowd under the stars at some of the West coasts most beloved events including Burning Man, Paradiso, Emissions and What the Festival.
