    No doubt 2020 has been one of the worst years in recent history so we just want it to end and look forward to 2021. Rave Mama knows no better way than to end it with dancing, drinking and yelling the countdown with our friends and family together! We feel like this is the time for us to redeem our normal life back and I believe we all have the power to do so, as long as we do this together. And indeed, to celebrate the last day of 2020, we will need A LOT OF music! We are so excited to invite our favoruite DJs Raahil, Pato & Simtub to perform for the evening. And, and, Simtub! for his first time, will be performing an 3 hour extended DJ set!       Pato has been already in the electronic dance music for a while In Hong Kong and in the path to becoming a DJ/Producer. He has worked tirelessly to polish his skills and developing his own sounds to the audience. Obviously Pato’s has influenced by the sound of Progressive, Melodic Tech and Techno.

      Raahil is an underground electronic DJ based in Hong Kong. He has been DJing since 2005 and has had the privilege to perform all over Asia. Raahil's sound is an exploration of the progressive and hypnotic side of Techno.

    • Simtub

      A vital artist in the Hong Kong underground circuit, Simtub plays DeepTech/Melodic Techno and various micro genres of House and Trance music. His sets are known to be evocative and energetic, backed by his understanding of what galvanizes the dance floor. Simtub grew up during the intersection of the hacienda movement in Northern England amidst the rise of UK underground rave culture and when superclubs such as Miss Moneypenny's, Turnmills, Cream and Fabrics dominated the landscape. This period in time heavily influenced his musical style and his sets continue to paint a unique narration of classic influences. Simtub is also the co-founder of After Dark Sessions, an event night originally conceived to promote melodically driven underground music to the less exposed cities around Asia. “Humans have an intrinsic need to connect, and music has this ability to create instant connections among people. I love to use my music to move crowds, to forge that sense of unspoken communion".

      I am Rave Ma² (aka Rave Mama) I believe everyone in their heart living a Rave Mama like me, who love dancing a little harder, diving into music deeper and love meeting kind, funny people at Rave. What I love mostly, is to see people smiling while listening to music at Rave, having the time for yourself. Chasing the Rave dream in this small city of Hong Kong, I wanted to mix with electronic music genres, being open-minded to explore and respect differences, at the same time, enjoying the moment together. And giving the opportunity for DJs to play music by their heart. You never know as what it turns out to be is actually not bad at all. We often argue which music is better. I believe anything is better just depends WHO you with, WHERE you are, WHEN do you do it. Don't limit yourself to look around. Today, I sincere welcome you to join Rave Ma²!       Social Room is a loft-style, multi-functional flexible 2100 sq. ft. event space in Central, Hong Kong, ideally located next to the Central Escalator. We serve light lunch from M-F and have regular resident DJs playing until late on weekends. From the crew behind Bassment, one of Hong Kong's most beloved spaces for underground music, comes a new concept designed to expand and enhance the underground experience. The Social Room, perched above the Stanley St. market in Central, has two distinct but conjoined areas: a relaxed bar area with seating, harking back to the outdoor terrace at Bassment; and a large dancefloor area with a raised stage and DJ booth. With an improved soundsystem, double the floor space, and a third floor view, we will continue to bring the vibe of Bassment to Hong Kong in a brand new space. In addition to acting as a home for underground DJs and bands, the open space is also available to rent for corporate and private events, pop-up events, and art exhibitions. Lunch is also served during the week from Monday to Friday, 12pm - 3pm, with affordable pasta lunch sets and other goodies.
