Through his raves organised in warehouses, beaches and abandoned bunkers, Yunus is part of a generation of DJs and producers trained in Hong Kong. Based between Amsterdam & Hong Kong, co-founder of Transarctica label, Yunus has extensive experience with decks in all its formats.
Following the label’s core mission to discover new sounds, linking a broad musical spectrum and a boundless vision of a cleverly mixed genre, ranging from bass UK, jungle, and Trance influence to “Balearics” rarities, his DJ sets blend into a distinct and eclectic selection. His production workflow is a balance between dance floor-relevant bass sound with experimental ways of making music, such as creative coding or generative art. With an alternative approach to DJing culture, resident DJ and A/V artist for different festivals, clubs, and sound systems, Yunus now focuses on developing Transarctica label.
Yunus is also associated with Raito, an esteemed audiovisual design studio. Through Raito Studio, he has contributed to notable projects such as Waking Life, Dekmantel, and DGTL, creating immersive and visually stunning experiences that merge music, art, and technology.
