Darka kicked off his DJ career in late 90s and was the champion of "Hong Kong Pioneer DJ Competition" in 2003. It was a milestone of his spinning career and made himself a well-known figure amongst dance floor. Since then, he has devoted all his vigour to the development of electronic dance music in Hong Kong. His name has come across with many notably DJs and producers, such as Paul Oakenfold, Nick Warren,Timo Maas, Santos , Jimmy Van M, James Zabiela, Tall Paul, Evil Nine, Radio Slave, Tiefschwarz, Butch, Meat Katie, Peace Division, Elite Force, Stelios Vassiloudis, Takkyu Ishino石野卓球, JDS, John Graham (Quivver), Phil K, Adam Freeland, James What, Noah Pred, Luke Fair and Andy Moor. The co-operations with those big guns strongly influenced his music styles and techniques. Deep House is his signature, loops and effects are his trumps. The Hong Kong-based selector is a presenter on RTHK Radio 3, where she has hosted her own dance music shows, and has performed across Asia (Seoul, Shenzhen, Singapore, Macau), as well as in the UK (Oxford, London).

Arthur Bray is one of the Hong Kong/Shanghai/London-based collective Yeti Out, the 30-year-old has worn plenty of hats – model, DJ, editor… the list goes on. This flexibility is something he’s emphasised for Yeti Out, which started as a party-promoting music collective that has now branched out into everything from art shows, a record label and a creative agency. And of course, more parties. Well-known DJs on the Hong Kong and Shanghai party circuit, Arthur and his twin brother Tom are pushing the envelope for underground music in Asia. They’re helping genres such as grime, garage, Afrobeat, bass music, house and techno gain momentum in a city that’s probably better known for its EDM or pop-filled nightclubs than anything else. Right now, they’re setting their sights on local events such as Sonar and Art Basel in March, while concurrently working on an audiovisual set for their record label, Silk Road Sounds. Casey Anderson’s take on house and techno is based on his deep respect for dance music’s roots: Detroit techno, Soul Train funk, and cosmic German electronic music. Ignoring charts, trends and clichés, his DJ sets are playful and unpredictable. Casey is constantly connecting new dots between obscure, classic and futuristic 4/4 dance music without shying away from the unexpected 80s synthpop or a disco anthem at peak hour. In 2013 the American-born DJ released his first tracks on Italian label Opilec Music (alongside inspirations like Derrick May and Todd Terje) before joining fellow Hong Kong DJ Frederic Neve to launch Typhoon 8 Records where he has continued to release deep, dubby techno and house. Scoring his first DJ residencies at leading underground spots Yumla and Bassment, since 2009 he's played the closing slot at the city's Clockenflap Music Festival twice, and after co-founding the party collective Humdrum he frequently hosted and supported international guests like Deetron, Jimpster...

Deasy is a Hong Kong based DJ, originally from London which is where his love for mixing began - on the 1210’s blending Drum & Bass back in 2005. After being a regular on the London radio station ‘Inner City FM’, he proceeded to have a residency at the night ‘Evolution’ at the club Mission (Leeds). Since then, Deasy has moved to Hong Kong where he is currently a resident at Oma - the perfect place for him to explore the deep and tech house side of the scene.

As a DJ/Producer, Ignotus has pushed the Hong Kong music scene forward with his high energy sets blending both commercial and underground music. Performing 3 am sets on sold out festivals on obscure islands, to playing sports anthems at the Rugby 7s, Ignotus has made versatility his calling card. As a producer, in a span of 3 years Ignotus has published original singles and his debut EP Chaos in July of 2019. The lead single from the album was premiered on "The Future Music". In 2020, Ignotus released on Austin based Label TallDoor Records on their VA Vol 2 which peaked at #9 on Beatport Tech House Charts. Under his official remix belt, Ignotus turned MasiaOne's Time Wastin' (Apple Music top 100 tracks 2019) into a bass heavy club banger.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, JFÜNG started his journey in electronic music & djing in 2014, and after years of traveling around and exploring music selection & production, the underground scenes & music festivals from multiple cities like Los Angeles, Taipei, Shanghai, Amsterdam, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and more deeply influenced him. In the summer of 2021, JFÜNG curated DARK METAZ, an audio-visual-journey experience. This underground bass-music rave collective showcases talents with their darker sounds and visuals, including a resident radio show on FMBelowground. JFÜNG is obsessed with deep, dark, bass-heavy rhythms, and his live sets always take the listener on a journey of electronic music. In 2023, he was invited to play at Clockenflap, Omni Field & ShiFuMiz,. Dark Metaz was selected by artists like Hebbe (NL) & The Glitch Mob (US) as the official host & promoter for their Asia tour.

Makoto Shimizu, more widely known simply as “Makoto”, is a testament to the international scope and power of electronic music. Born, raised and still based in Tokyo, Makoto was influenced at a young age by a wide variety of music ranging from classical to soul and funk. Upon hearing the soundtrack to The Last Emperor by the academy award winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, Makoto was so inspired that he made a life changing decision – to pursue a career in music. He went on to complete an Acoustic Engineering major at Nippon University, and having been introduced to drum and bass through listening to the radio shows of Giles Peterson on Kiss FM and BBC Radio 1, Makoto began experimenting with the genre through his own compositions. To him the appeal of this relatively new form of music was simple – drum and bass was just “very futuristic and cool”. His productions were of such quality that they caught the attention of none other than the legendary LTJ Bukem, who went on to sign Makoto to his seminal Good Looking Records imprint in 1999.

Ani Phoebe is a DJ from NYC who is currently based in Hong Kong by way of Rio de Janeiro. She founded Bad Times Disco, an online record shop in Hong Kong, and runs a monthly show called Parallel Worlds on The Lot Radio. She comes from digging tradition and favors lesser-known 80s and 90s records from unexpected corners and crates. One of Ani Phoebe’s areas of experience is the downtempo, cosmic disco, and synth-pop realms, being a resident DJ of the renowned underground music festival Cosmic Gathering (DE) and having performed at experimental stages on Nation of Gondwana (DE) and Atlas Electronic (MR). At the same time, her breadth also extends to heavy dancefloors and electronic clubs, performing sets that expand on 90s progressive house to 2000s Eurodance, digging for rare versions of nostalgic numbers. Weaving through all her sets are emotional, often female vocals, and synthesized sounds in all of their diversity and power. A strong emerging DJ on the global scene, Ani Phoebe has recently toured Brazil, the US, and Europe in 2022.

Born and raised in Hong Kong,Arun has been in love with house music since his early teenage years, probably brought about from listening to his dad's collection of disco and all sorts of retro bits from his impeccable record collection. After picking up a pair of low-torque turntables at the age of 16, it wasn't long before his mixing skills got him a first residency at a small bar in the city. He now stays between Hong Kong and London, making and playing the music he loves.

As a film critic and scholar, Dan-Neo is a firm believer in storytelling. His DJ sets often bring you ups-and-downs by merging different genres across countries and eras, drawing elements from disco, house, techno, dub-step and more. He can demonstrate an effortlessness of going from hard bangers to soft chill-out tunes, and vice versa. The unique texture of his sound is a result of adopting both minimal and maximal approaches to musical selection and mixing skill. Nonetheless, his musical taste is deeply rooted in those beats and tunes that embrace a cinematic and cosmic tone. Based in Hong Kong & Macau, Saiyan is one of the core members & resident DJ of the Magnetic Soul Crew- most visible & prolific DnB Crew in Hong Kong. He founded the first Dnb/Dubstep event - Bass Attack in Macao, which was named as "the historic moment" in the Bass music scene of Macao. He is also the co-founder of Bass Music China (BMC) which promotes Bass Music Culture in China. In 2002 Saiyan started band “Dr.” - genres ranging from Nu Skool Breakz, DnB Jungle, Experiment & Dub music. In 2004 Dr. released their debut album – "Dr" & kept their focus on music production & live performance. In 2005, Saiyan joined Magnetic Soul, organized events & supported the likes of Roni Size, LTJ Bukem, Ed Rush & Optical, Total Science, DJ Fresh, Outrage, Spectrasoul, SPY & Black Sun Empire. He also DJed at several festivals in Hong Kong & Europe including Outlook Festival since 2012.

DTM grew up with his headphones ON. His journey down the rabbit hole began at 12 when he got a club compilation CD for xmas. And the first tune on it was ‘underworld’ - born slippy. Farrah Ng, who performs as Farrah, is a Hong Kong-born Trap, Electronic, Bass producer and DJ. Back in Hong Kong he runs a monthly club night “South Canton Soul Train” which connects the dots between genres from around the globe such as Canton Funk, Laos Boogie, Seoul Soul, Japanese City Pop, Italo Disco and Classic House.

JayMe may not be a familiar name globally, but try mentioning it to any credible DJ in HK, and you will be met with wide opened eyes and a big grin. Cuz he’s one of the most respected figure in the local scene. He grew up in the 70’s witnessing the disco boom first hand. He kept his love collecting records and going to parties for more than 30 years. Began DJing from 2013 alongside his medical career, earning the title “the Disco Doctor”. Started his own Loft style private club in 2015 called Acadana (literally means Party without a care) which has become the most cherished place amongst all underground DJs. Dabbled into Techno territory in 2017 playing at Teknival, Social Room etc. 2018 saw him did several unforgettable gigs at 宀club, the rising star of HK’s scene. Regardless of the genre he’s playing, JayMe is still deeply rooted in old skool NYC style with just one resident DJ for the whole night, à la Larry Levan or Junior Vasquez...

JVSY is a Producer DJ duo formed by Jovin Lee and Atlas Iu, also known as BURN and telvanni26. They debuted as techno producers in 2021. The organic instruments and found sounds they incorporate into their composition makes their signature cinematic sound. They are also known for their cross-genre explorations inspired by elements from house, techno, electronica, drum and bass, nu-jazz and more. With a strong classical and pop music background, they are also adept as filmer scorers, composers and session musicians.

Known for his vigorous techno sets, Marco’s DJ repertoire also includes house, minimal, and electro. Besides, he produces with modular synthesizers and plays modular live sets. As a co-founder of the established collective, Utopia Hong Kong, Marco and his teammates have successfully nurtured the city’s ever-evolving electronic music scene through an array of parties in Hong Kong and across Asia. In the meantime, Marco has been promoting heavier techno sounds through his event series concept TRI. Featuring deep and experimental sounds, TRI assembles a series of raves verging on the edge, exploring the possibility of contemporary techno.
