  • Aïsha Devi

̸BIOGRAPHY No one on this planet sounds like Aïsha Devi. Her voice is her most powerful tool in a repertoire that includes thumping beats and rave stabs, seraphic and guttural singing, mystical linguistics and corporeal sonics. Born in Switzerland with Nepali Indigenous heritage, a transversal identity was forged, guiding both her personal and creative process. Dislocating pop culture, also evident in her mixes for Resident Advisor, FACT, NTS, BBC Radio and Mixmag, is one of her foundational tools. In 2013 Devi co-founded Danse Noire, a label collective supporting insurrectional electronic music from around the world, where she released her breakout EP, followed by ‘Hakken Dub / Throat Dub’ in 2014, giving context to her universe alongside artists including Ruhail Qaisar, Yikii, and more. In 2015, Aïsha Devi released her debut album, ‘Of Matter And Spirit’, a significant sonic statement rich in political and philosophical subtext. 2018 saw the release of Devi’s sophomore album, ‘DNA Feelings’, an acclaimed record addressing the impact of sound on an atomic level. While she currently uses music as her primary medium of expression, Devi’s practice is fundamentally interdisciplinary - she studied graphic design and collaborates with visual and performance artists as well as making her own interventions within the art world. Devi has worked closely with Chinese artist Tianzhuo Chen on a string of videos, as well as performances together with the Asian Dope Boys collective, most notably at The Barbican and The Broad Museum (LA). She has also recently composed for and performed with the BBC Concert Orchestra at London’s Queen Elizabeth Music Hall. But Aïsha Devi is just as magnetic performing solo. With her mesmeric digital world-building and captivating stage presence she has bowled over crowds at CTM, Primavera, Unsound, Roskilde, Dark Mofo, MoMA PS1 and hundreds of festivals and venues from Japan to Mexico and beyond.

  • Hüma Utku

̸BIOGRAPHY "Istanbul-born and Berlin-based artist excavates the musical traditions of her once and future homes, fusing traditional instrumentation and rhythms with scalding ambience and atonal distortion." - NOISEY Istanbul born and raised, Berlin based electronic music composer and sound artist Hüma Utku explores the possibilities of how sound textures and rhythm can be used to evoke a sense of ancient within abstract electronic music. With an overall disregard for musical genre divisions she fuses field recordings, acoustic instruments, atmospheric ambience; into harmonious noise and harsh ritualistic rhythms as means to utilise sound and music as tools for storytelling. Combining her practice of music with her studies in psychology; Utku's works draw inspiration from human condition, Jungian psychology, mysticism and folklore. In August 2018 Şeb-i Yelda (EP/12'') was released by Karlrecords, which presented Utku (as R.A.N.) with an evolved sound and strong theme to a wide audience. Following the international success of her EP, she released her debut full-length album under her own name Gnosis in July 2019 via the same label. This release gained Utku recognition for her unique approach of creating sonic story plots by merging concepts with experiments in electronic music. Since 2016, she has presented her work and performed across Europe and the Middle east; including performances in Atonal Berlin, HKW, Radialsystem and Kiezsalon, in Berlin/DE; Salon IKSV in Istanbul/TR, Donaufestival and Musikprotokoll in Austria, Forte Prenestino in Rome/IT, Today's Art in Netherlands, Insomnia Festival in Norway and many others. Her work has received notable press from platforms such as The Wire, Noisey, RollingStone, Redbull Music, Groove Mag, Gonzo Circus and Scene Noise among others, as well as getting broadcasted by seminal radio station and platforms such as BBC Radio 3, NTS radio, RAI 3 (Italian National Broadcasting), Resonance FM, YLE (Finnish National Broadcasting) and Sveriges Radio (Swedish National Broadcasting). In 2021, Utku has been selected as a SHAPE (Sound, Heterogeneous Art and Performance in Europe) artist. In spring 2022, her new album will be released via Editions Mego. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY The Psychologist (2022, Editions Mego) (LP/CD/DL) Gnosis (2019, Karlrecords) (DL & LP) Şeb-i Yelda EP (2018, Karlrecords) (DL & 12'')

̸ BIOGRAPHY Overmono were on a roll before lockdown. As the top YouTube comment for their Joy Orbison collaboration track ‘Bromley’ put it Overmono were on a roll before lockdown. As the top YouTube comment for their Joy Orbison collaboration track ‘Bromley’ put it, “so this is the track that was on every 5 minutes at Warehouse Project. ”That track and the duo’s own ‘Le Tigre’ were played out constantly by the likes of Four Tet and Ben UFO, the former also hiring the duo to remix his track ‘Teenage Birdsong’. Then there are their edits. Thom Yorke was so impressed by the duo’s versions of ‘Not The News’that he let them release the tracks on their own Polykicks label. Add to that their cheeky version of Rosalia –‘A Palé’,which caught the ear and the eye of the respected flamenco artist, as well as being a highlight of their live performances pre-lockdown. Then the world abruptly stopped, all their forthcoming gigs were cancelled and suddenly Overmono were able to fully commit their energy to their legendary Bromley studio. It’s was during this time that the duo feel they’ve been able to realise exactly what Overmono’s music should be. “Our work together had so far been about exploring and defining what Overmono is... and we feel like we’ve got this now”.

Karl O'Connor is most certainly Regis and it is also highly probable that he propagates other pseudonyms . This has only added to the greater mythology surrounding the influential Downwards label that he has run with fellow art terrorist Peter Sutton ( Female ) since 1993. Unconventional and single-minded to say the least ( what label can boast a back catalogue free of the industry standard cash cow remix ) by decentralising the focus on the dj/producer personality, he remains one of the more highly regarded creative forces within the British techno/electronic scene. Degenerate art indeed.

Along with Regis and James Ruskin, Silent Servant founded the Jealous God label. In it’s short existence, they have already cut-up and reinterpreted many of the conventions of the techno world, forging a unique identity in the process. With it’s highly conceptual aesthetic and relentless dedication to experiment, Jealous God is a flag-bearer for the contemporary electronic avant-garde and a loyal ally to all mutant experimentalists. While insincerity remains the safety of many, Silent Servant’s own productions are brutally honest and resolute, rendering irrelevant those mongering for light. Deeply pensive and forward thinking, his sound is marked by a distinct blend of the disparate and divergent. An appreciation of warehouse techno, industrial noise and post-punk are evident, yet challenged and reworked to form a uniquely modern style - a vitality so controlled and concentrated that it captivates immediately. His live sets are another matter of inventiveness. The superfluous eliminated, Silent Servant has, for years, been rewiring the minds and moving the bodies of those seeking the most meaningful and potent energies that electronic music has to offer. Having developed a special kind of discipline, Silent Servant will no doubt continue to drive forward, bringing the truly adventurous with him. His criterion of action is freedom of movement, timelessness of expression, freedom for transgression; holding truth at most high. To that end, there is no compromise. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY LP Negative Fascination // Hospital Productions // 2012 12" The Silent Morning // Sandwell District // 2006 Lo Profundo // Historia y Violencia // 2008 Violencia // Sandwell District // 2008 The Blood Of Our King // Sandwell District // 2008 La Noche // Historia y Violencia // 2009 Negative Fascinations // Sandwell District // 2009 El Mar // Semantica Records // 2010 Hypnosis In The Modern Age // Sandwell District // 2011 Negative Fascination (Extended 12" Mixes) // Hospital Productions // 2012 Silent Servant // Mi Alma // Historia y Violencia // 2012 SS* / S* - Sicario De Dios // Jealous God // 2013 Lucy & Silent Servant - History Survivors // Mote-Evolver // 2013 Lust Abandon // Jealous God // 2013 Silent Servant / Broken English Club - Violence And Divinity // Cititrax // 2014 Silent Servant // Mechanics of Emotion // The Corner // 2014 51717 & Silent Servant - Jealous God 06 // Jealous God // 2015 Remixs H&V // Raíz // Silent Servant (Ciencia Ficción Edición) Prologue 15 // Claudio PRC // Clear Depths // Silent Servant Remix Kontra musik // Mikora // Silent Servant Remix Ibandan 100 // Function vs. Jerome Sydenham // White Light // Silent Servant Remix Ostgut Ton // Planetary Assault Systems // Bell Blocker (Silent Servant Remix) Warp Records // Battles – Dross Glop 3 // Inchworm (Silent Servant Remix) Cititrax // The KVB //Pray To The Light Machine (Silent Servant Version) Epm Music // Greg Gow & Gareth Whitehead // Vacant (Silent Servant Remix) Frozen Border // Mary Velo // Manhattan Project (Silent Servant Mix) Puscifer Entertainment // Puscifer // Balls To The Wall (Silent Servant Mix) Dement3d Records // Polar Inertia // Major Axis (Silent Servant Remix) Felte // ERAAS // Briar Path (Silent Servant Interpretation) Asma // Birds (Silent Servant Remix) // M_REC LTD Dais Records // Youth Code // Let The Sky Burn (Silent Servant Remix) Diagonal // Streetwalker // Ooze (Silent Servant Remix) Lust For Youth // International (Silent Servant Remix) // Sacred Bones Records Pole Recordings // Exium // The 12th Planet (Silent Servant Remix) Mute // Liars // Mess On A Mission (Silent Servant Remix) Mecanica // Soft Metals // Tell Me (Silent Servant Edit) Phantasy Sound // Daniel Avery // Spring 27 (Silent Servant Remix) Sacred Bones Records // John Carpenter // Vortex (Silent Servant Remix) Eye Teeth // Israel Vines // WWKD (Silent Servant Remix) aufnahme + wiedergabe // Phase Fatale // Grain (Silent Servant Remix) Spectral Sound // Matrixxman // The Caravan (Silent Servant Remix) Dark Entries // Psychic TV // Alien Be-In (Silent Servant Remix) Booking Information daniela@triangleagency.com

  • Zoe Mc Pherson

̸BIOGRAPHY Zoë Mc Pherson is a Berlin based multimedia artist, performer, researcher, sound designer, spatial sound shaper, DJ, curator and founder of SFX label & AV platform. Described as a "vanguard" by British publication Mixmag and "fearless" by Hyponik, Berlin-based Zoë Mc Pherson is a French-Irish multimedia artist whose practice absorbs elements of performance, sound design, installation art and DJing. Their breathless third album "Pitch Blender" is a tight set of cybernetic dancefloor experiments that flicker between the rave and the art space, and arrives courtesy of SFX, the boundary-pushing A/V-focused label Mc Pherson runs with their long-time collaborator Alessandra Leone. Since the release of their immersive 2018 debut album "String Figures" and its acclaimed 2020 follow-up "States of Fugue", Mc Pherson has performed across the world, appearing at Berlin's CTM Festival, Nyege Nyege in Jinja, Uganda, Freerotation in the UK, Meakusma in Belgium, Madrid's LEV, Amsterdam’s FIBER festival, Elevate Festival in Graz and Malmö's Inkonst. They've presented spatial sound installations at Berlin's world-famous MONOM (the world's first 4DSOUND system), Silent Green amongst others, and work alongside bULt, in Almaty, Kazakhstan's largest city, to invite musicians to perform and hold workshops at a brand new queer-owned club. A seasoned collaborator, Mc Pherson maintains an ongoing project with renowned French sound artist Jessica Ekomane. The two performed a special project at Berghain's Halle broadcast by ARTE TV, and their first recording was released on Ostgut Ton's "Fünfzehn + 1" compilation. On the other end of their creative spectrum, Carbon 96 finds Mc Pherson teaming up with US techno producer and DJ Ciarra Black, and the duo's effervescent debut "Carbonated" was released on Peder Mannerfelt Produktion earlier this year. Their most recent project however is 3OK, a frenetic project that was conceptualized in Uganda and matches Mc Pherson's sci-fi sonics with singeli pioneer Jay Mitta's breakneck beats and Malian veteran DJ Diaki's unmistakable soundsystem energy. ̸SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY [SF04] PITCH BLENDER | SFX | 2023 ABYSS ELIXIR | Pendulum Recordings | 2022 Ostgut Ton | Fünfzehn + 1 | Jessica Ekomane & Zoë Mc Pherson | Ostgut Ton | 2021 [SF03] GROUNDING IN OUTER SPACE | SFX | 2020 [SF02] STATES OF FUGUE | SFX | 2020 XquisiteForce.collection/01 | “Hayati” by Simon Grab, Dali de St Paul and Zoë Mc Pherson | SFX | 2020 LV VA 12-1 | “ALVA“ by Zoë Mc Pherson | LAVALAVA | 2020 L Twills VOX remix | [Freedom/Fiction] REMIXES | 2020 Gillie Mc Pherson Dark Dream remix | ER001 Euphonic Rythms | 2020 Plafond 5 by Rupert Cerveaux & Zoë Mc Pherson | BAKK PLAFOND SERIES | 2019 Weaponize your sound compilation | “Thumb Governance” by Zoë Mc Pherson | OPTIMO | 2019 LI$016 compilation | Low Income Squad | 2019 Contagious remix | MORPHINE | 2019 Christina Vantzou N4 remix | 2019 [SF01] STRING FIGURES | SVS RECORDS | 2018 KSH03 SONIC RESISTANCE. | Ishtar #2 (for Rojava) by Zoë Mc Pherson feat.
